I wise man once said: “Make Italo Disco Great Again”.

His name was Guido Balboa.

From there, Romain FX, after having camped his studio at this Italian’s home for a couple of years in Hong Kong, had an epiphany. 

He made a track using this genius tagline on Boots & Legs from Australia and wanted to take this phrase even further. And so this compilation was born. 

Scouting unknown and more known talents, Romain would put together a compilation full of cheesy goodness for dance-floors-ready tunes right in time for open-airs this summer of 21 after a long danceless year. For the first volume, A-team guests were asked to partake in the adventure, we have Bijou, Franz Scala, Alberto Melloni, Doctor, Berny, Daniele Monaco, and Romain FX.

After his releases for years on many top-respected labels, finally we are so happy to host Filizola - one of the most exciting producers on the slow, charming and chilled side of Deep House music.

'Will You' mixes different influences, from more relaxed vibes on the title track to more Housy groovy shades on 'Keep Groovin' - showcasing the artist versatility and open mind.

On the remix duties, Retrofract steps again into our catalogue with another memorable rework, driving 'Will You' into a more dreamy direction perfect for scoring sunsets at the beach.

A tribute to, rather than a cover version of "Is It All Over My Face?" by Loose Joints. This track was made specifically to be played at our bi-monthly Optimo nights in Glasgow. The Loose Joints song was an Optimo anthem but had been played so much that I wanted to put it to rest and decided to create a track that was inspired by, and paid homage to it but wasn't strictly a cover version. After all, it is an impossible and impossibly good song to try and cover. 

This has been rigorously road tested throughout Summer 2012.

Vocals are by Alicia Matthews from Organs Of Love. Cello is by Emma Goldman. All other instrumentation by JD Twitch. Mix assistance and mastering by James Savage.
