The Queensbridge-to-Los Angeles connection of TNT (rapper Big Twins and producer Twiz The Beat Pro) go straight for the throat with “Straight Face,” the raw lead single off their upcoming collaborative album, 'TNT.'

Twiz sets the tone with exactly the type of instrumental that Twins’ voice deserves: a grimy and unhinged backdrop built on heavy drums and a looping sample. It’s perfect for the Infamous Mobb member, who takes Internet rappers to task for their hollow rhymes while recognizing his own efforts (“I love a happy ending I can see it now/ Record sold out, I control the crowd”). 

He then passes the mic to his guest, Killer Ben of Durag Dynasty, whose verse is as snarling as his host’s. Ben blends ridiculous wordplay with a hilarious explanation of how his lyrics remain so on point (f*ck a life coach, right?) before the quick-hitting track fades out—and you’re left hitting the replay button.

“Straight Face” is now available for download off the iTunes' pre-order for 'TNT,' which is due out April 1st via Sound Unity Entertainment, an independent label based in L.A. and headed by DJ B.Original…keep your eyes and ears open!

Plenty of New York rappers have offered a lyrical tour of their city, but few have done it so potently as Big Twins and Prodigy on “The Rotten Apple.” As the title implies, it isn’t some glitzy, high-brow view of this particular concrete jungle. But there’s a certain pride to overcoming the seedy, grotesque elements of a place that “forces the best out of you or forces you to fold up.”

The track serves as the second single off Big Twins’ joint album with L.A. producer Twiz The Beat Pro, who provides a fittingly filthy instrumental for his rapping counterparts. Beyond the beat, the grit of “The Rotten Apple” comes through in lines like “We got any drug you could ever want/ And we start the drama before you ni**as front” from Twins. Not to be outdone is his guest, fellow Queensbridge native Prodigy, who compares himself to horror legend Freddy Krueger: “P. Krueger/ who’ll stalk you in your sleep like Freddy/ Plus I see you in real life, your legs turn spaghetti.”

This is NYC rap through and through. And if you’re feeling “The Rotten Apple,” keep an eye out for Twins and Twiz’s album, ‘TNT.’ It drops April 1st, via Sound Unity Entertainment.

In between the tough talk and bravado on “Take Away The Lies,” there’s a heavy truth within the rhymes of Big Twins and his guests, The Alchemist and Evidence (aka Step Brothers)—authenticity over everything. It’s a concept that’s never sounded quite this good, and you have Twiz The Beat Pro’s hissing, chipmunked production to thank for that.

When you consider that everyone on this track has worked together in varying capacities over the years, it comes as no surprise that “Take Away The Lies” is such a success. Twins, Alchemist, and Evidence (in that order) murder their verses as they reveal the truth behind the lies of so many. That goes for rappers with phony backstories, cities that have been gentrified (Ev in particular shouts out his ‘hood), and anyone catchin’ feelings from their bars.

Queensbridge O.G. Big Twins connects with his Infamous Mobb brethren Godfather Pt. III for the gripping, chilling new video for “Paranoid” directed by Medley Films. It’s also the latest we’re hearing from TNT, Twins’ upcoming collaborative album with L.A. producer Twiz The Beat Pro.

Like the track itself, the visuals center on a narrative in which whoever crossed Twins (and by extension Godfather) is suffering from a serious case of paranoia after leaving him for dead. Because here’s the thing, if you’re going to cross him, you should probably make sure that one of the these three things happens: He doesn’t know your identity; he won’t be able to remember what happened; or he won’t walk away from it. 

If you do leave Twins well enough to recover, well, you can see the consequences of doing that in the video (which is to be continued…).

On the lead single off his upcoming album, 'Grimey Life,' living Queensbridge legend Big Twins embraces the scary season with the snarling “Phantom of the Opera” produced by The Alchemist.

The NY rapper and Cali producer have teamed up a number of times over the years, and each collaboration solidifies the fact that they’re only getting better with time. This latest joint venture is anchored by Alc’s chilling instrumental that, yes, features organs reminiscent of the musical of the same name.

The thing is, the “Phantom” in this case is Big Twins himself, who dons the mask and is letting his villainous side shine through. He starts the track with some of the best opening bars in recent memory—“My voice is like poison/ Venom in your veins, you gettin’ nauseous/ As a kid I stole Porsches/ Dun, I loved that car, we was flossin’”—before threatening his enemies to fall back on the hook.

The best part about this track, though, is that it’s just an appetizer of what’s to come. In addition to 'Grimey Life' dropping on mid November, Twins and Alc are hard at work on a joint album that’s due out next year.
