this makes me want to go into a beautiful enchanted forest that has a hint of darkness to it that makes me scared and then some little elves come out and they go back into the back of the house (theres also a house) and then the house lights up because someone turns on one of the lights in the house and most of the elves inside can be seen from the outside but its just a sillhuette and then you hear someone speak and they say "hi" and then you turn around and theres someone there and they are looking at you and the way that they are looking at you makes you think that there is a faint possibility that they can see you and then you start to realise that the possibility might not be so faint after all because you are only around approximately 60 centermeters away from them and they look like they have no difficulty with their eyesight so its almost certain that they can see you

Face Machine inhabits the blurred threshold between the human and the synthetic, where identity becomes fluid and is constantly rewritten. Drifting between melodic techno, underground trance and electro-pop, the album unfolds like a network of unstable selves - mirrors folding into mirrors, names dissolving into signals. Vocals shift between male and female, merging with abstract textures until the human voice becomes something unbound, a mutable instrument suspended between body and machine. Each track carves its own passage through luminous, volatile atmospheres, yet all are tethered by a shared sonic architecture of detuned oscillators, layered melodic counterpoint, and synthesis timbres that breathe with organic motion.

These twelve tracks move through states of emergence and disappearance - memory scattering, identity refracting, presence dissolving into signal. Wordless chants, whispered fragments, and spectral harmonies drift like residues of selves that never fully arrive. Within this landscape, rhythm and texture intertwine: polyrhythmic layers build and collapse, melodic threads blur into complex harmonic tides, and shifting tonalities open portals into new emotional terrain. Face Machine doesn't offer resolution; instead, it lingers in the spaces where perception falters and technology reshapes what it means to exist. It is an album of thresholds and transformations - a meditation on how we become, lose, and reinvent ourselves in an age where even our voices can belong to someone, or something, else.

This recording is a combination of the two sets I performed at Melbourne's epic underground event SHADOW DRUM. Held at Rubix Warehouse in June & October 2016 by Universal Tribe Records. 

The set was created using live, four channel mixing and it features a heap of soon to be released material along with a range of live remixes highlighting some of my favourite artists.  [Close down track included at the end of the set is a special rendition of "Tempest" Juno Reactor - Remixed by ZIBELL].

Fraktal Faerie is the creation of Lacey-Marie Burton, a passionate musician with a love of mixing progressive and psychedelic trance. Since the start of her Dj journey in August 2014. She found herself playing regular gigs at festivals and clubs alongside some of the biggest international psytrance acts and local electronic artists.  With an acoustic background and an ear for music, Fraktal Faerie mixes sets driven by massive, choppy basslines and loves nothing more than getting a big crowd of people dancing.
