Warsaw-based Ukrainian dj, producer and lover of slow-burning (sentence sponsored by rizla papers) outsider electronics who has been under our radar for quite some time.

Lately Bijū has been performing daring dj sets regularly on tested venues such as Jasna1 and slowly around everywhere he delivers us a special mix for curious ears. 

Beyond playing records, his latest LP "Land of Abundance" was released on Berlin based Sons of Traders Records. Keep also an eye on his ‘Healing Machine’ radio show on Mutant Radio, dedicated to slow-rolling experimental music.

Amsterdam-based DJ Nèna crafts warm, layered sets that blend 2010s UK techno and bass, house, kuduro, reggaeton, amongst a broad range of underground electronic styles. While deeply rooted in Amsterdam’s underground, Nèna continually looks outward to places like Miami and Brussels, drawing significant inspiration from Lisbon’s club scene, in her family’s homeland of Portugal.

With a background in philosophy, Nèna approaches music as a way to reframe and reinterpret sonic elements, placing them in contexts that reveal unexpected connections. Her sets explore patterns that give familiar sounds fresh meaning, always engaging with the atmosphere and social landscape of her surroundings.

From intimate spaces like Garage Noord to larger venues like De School, and festivals such as Dekmantel and Zeezout, Nèna’s sets are known for their careful interplay of movement and atmosphere. Her RRFM radio series, All I Do Is Apricate, offers a sun-soaked soundtrack with special guests, showcasing her ever-evolving approach to sound.

About the mix:

I really wanted to incorporate Deadbeat from the 2001 Eardrum album Side Effects. This track provided the elements that serve as a guide to the rest of the mix. Dubby, drummy, and moody.
