Reboot rolls out TEC148 and takes us ‘Behind The Scenes’ on his debut release for SCI+TEC. This powerful performance is split into three acts, opening with the epic title track and its tidal of techy synth that snarls from the opening bar. Almost overwhelming, the first foray subsides as we’re bathed in a sparkling, trance-like melody. Whilst the growling lies beneath the glitter overcomes to produce an incredible opener. 

The shimmering sounds and contrast work wonders again on act two, ‘Duende’. An understated, warm and groovy bassline provides the backbone and is drizzled with drops of ivory as Reboot soothes us with his piano melody and orchestral strings. Topped with piercing cymbals, Duende leaves us excitedly awaiting the finalé. 

Reboot throws us a curveball with his final track ‘Circumstance 23’. From the joy to jack, the closing number drops like an electrified ball of funk. Snares, hats, rimshots and buzzing bass might make Circumstance 23 a perfect final act here, but sets it up to be the perfect party starter everywhere.  





TEC148 - 2 - REBOOT - DUENDE

With his new Pink Fly EP having just dropped via his own Whistleblower imprint, genre blurring UK producer Reset Robot serves up a seismic edition of DT podcast guaranteed to get you flexing all of those boogying muscles.

A Portsmouth native, Reset Robot runs the UK label alongside fellow South Coaster's Alan Fitzpatrick and Rhymos, and having developed an eclectic sound residing in the shadowy depths between techno and house, looks set to have the biggest of years ahead of him.

The record follows the producer's recent excursions alongside Jon Gurd and Tom Powell as one third of burgeoning techno triumvirate Mister Woo, and offers a complex blend of raw electronica, twisted beat patterns and snarling sonics guaranteed to set dancefloors on fire.

Created in his own image, the mix reflects both of his recent EPs in its ability to make coarse, muscular clutter undisputably danceable. Packed with his own material with a few works from from Roman Lindau and Hybrasil scattered in for good measure, the mix is available to stream and download now.

We don't like techno, we love it...
