What Am I To Say

I TwoOps sono un duo composto da batterista e DJ producer, due anime musicali talmente distanti, da risultare in due opposti musicali quasi perfetti.
La loro produzione è caratterizzata dalle sonorità della musica EDM, che attraverso l’uso di una batteria acustica, affonda inevitabilmente le proprie unghie nel Rock’n’Roll.
Massimiliano De Napoli, praticamente per tutti Max, ha iniziato a suonare la batteria all’età di 5 anni. Nato a Buenos Aires, all’età di 7 anni si trasferì in Italia e passò dal suonare latin rock allo studiare altri generi come il metal e l’R&B.
L’idea per il progetto che avrebbe poi dato vita ai twoops gli vene quando, volendo portare il suo suono nelle discoteche, cominciò a suonare accompagnato da una playlist su chiavetta ed un computer. 
La parte ritmica aggiunta con la batteria acustica, doveva quindi farsi strada tra i suoni di musiche già prodotte.
Pensandoci bene, una batteria in discoteca é la cosa più rock’n’roll che potreste mai vedere, poiché distrugge gli schemi di un ambiente dove è più che mai insolito vederla.
Dopo qualche tempo a cercare l’anima giusta per sviluppare il suo progetto e dopo aver suonato in locali oramai adibiti a ristoranti giapponesi, la svolta è avvenuta grazie all’incontro con Fabrizio Sartor in arte Loco Hill.
Per Fabrizio l’incontro con la musica è avvenuto all’età di 14 anni formando un duo hip hop. Scopre poi il suo interesse per la musica elettronica ed ecco che passa alla produzione di house music.
La vena da producer, Fabrizio la sviluppa quando nel 2010 frequenta la scuola come tecnico del suono, mentre le sue serate come DJ lo vedono protagonista nei locali del milanese. I suoi brani provengono dalla sfera EDM e progressive house.
I twoops sono sempre alla ricerca di nuove sonorità, che permettano di donare carattere ad un modo di produrre brani che vuole essere la loro firma, che li renda cioè riconoscibili.
A rendere speciale il progetto twoops è il fatto che i brani originali prodotti, vengono suonati in buona parte live, attraverso l’uso di launchpad e arrangiamenti appositamente studiati, oltre naturalmente all’accompagnamento della batteria.
