Like many before him in the canon, Will Fox is a vagabond. Born in Houston, TX, raised in London, Paris, and the American South, Fox spent his adolescence moving around, practicing, and playing. His travels even took him to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil where he studied Bossa Nova, expanding his craft. Back stateside, destined to operate a gristmill near his hometown in the Shenandoah Valley, Fox instead moved to Los Angeles to become a troubadour. After his stint as a member of the now-defunct LA-darlings Los Angeles Police Department, Fox turned his attention to his own pursuits, calling on a community of friends including Greta Morgan (Springtime Carnivore) and Tim Keen (Ought) to help bring his compositions to life.

In his songs you'll hear his lifetime's array of influences compounded from the intricate fingerpicking of Nick Drake and Leo Kottke, to the romantic croon of Chris Bell. From the songwriting deities themselves like Neil Young or George Harrison, to modern heroes like Cass McCombs or The Clientele.

Will Fox’s debut release will be available worldwide through Twosyllable Records via cassette and all digital platforms on October 26th.

Will Fox - Strange Constellation

Now Be Here is a collection of concise, methodical and spare meditations on familiar quotidian scenarios and the, perhaps, surprisingly complex emotions associated with each. Each soundscape explores our intimate relationship with nature and the constant struggle to be present in it. 

Written and recorded between Trump's election and inauguration, and only months before the artist's first child was born, first single "Black Horizons" attempts to capture both the National mood, as well as Narrow Shoulder's personal trepidations about the world to come. Now, coming full circle, released between Biden's election and inauguration, the song reflects on a dark epoch of American history, but also grapples with the irreversible damage caused as we begin to rebuild as a nation and a family. 

Whether one wakes to "Rain on a Saturday Morning", is allowed a "Day Off" from work, or takes a restorative hike "Atop Anthony's Nose", past and future always tug at our mental fabric, threatening to rip the rug from under us.

This Doesn't Feel Like Home (Unreleased Demos 2011-2014) is a posthumous collection of all the rough mixes, demos, and rarities we could gather from old hard drives, friends computers, and labels Mikey Hodges solicited over the years. As an avid music fan, Mikey was always a completist. He wanted to devour every single recording from his favorites, so the least we can do is release everything we have.

100% of the proceeds will go to the Michael T Hodges Instrument Endowment Fund which supplies instruments to students in Lebanon, IN.
