D'Cinnamons - Loving You

"Over The Hill" marks the first unveiling from Certain Animals' eagerly awaited third album. 

The song addresses individuals who take unexpected life paths and subsequently vanish from sight.  Using the resonant sound of a 12-string Byrdian guitar, Certain Animals deliver a poignant message of missing someone, but with a hopeful undertone. 

The group cleverly integrates harmonies reminiscent of the Beatles, taking listeners on a musical journey. This trip escalates to a climax, before plunging into the mysterious depths of the unknown. Adding to this unique auditory experience are synth sounds that echo the mesmerizing allure of sirens, coupled with drum fills that emulate the rumble of subterranean tremors. 

Certain Animals has carved out a niche for itself by frequently straying from traditional musical norms. In "Over The Hill", they uphold their characteristic sound while also introducing a fresh yet familiar melody. This way, they manage to avoid redundancy in their music, always keeping fans on their toes.

Catatan Pengantar:
Terimakasih mau mendengarkan dan mengunduh lagu-lagu b-side kami ini. ada banyak alasan kenapa kami tidak pernah merilisnya secara resmi; lagu taman bermain waktu, misalnya, terlalu pasif untuk era yang sebenarnya sedang genting ini. lagu kabar dari tepi.., juga ditulis tidak dalam keadaan mental yang bisa dimaklumi. dua lagu ini ditulis ketika kami sedang teramat jenuh, bosan, dan tak bertanggung jawab; orang-orang bijak selalu akan menyarankan untuk jangan percaya dengan apa-apa yang dikatakan orang yang sedang dilanda bosan; sebab kami tak bijak kami jadi sering terlalu asal cuap.
dua lagu yang lain, tidak dirilis berdasarkan lain alasan. kami sebenarnya sangat sayang pada komposisi ke 3 dan ke 4, dua lagu yang kami bikin sesudah anamnesis. sial, keduanya (beserta beberapa lagu yang tak sempat terdokumentasikan) terpaksa di "buang" karena kelokan dan perjalanan kami ke arah BJS.
bulan lalu, kami tiba-tiba mendapati @pamityang2an mulai rajin memutar keempat lagu ini. 2 lagu terakhir di ep ini, terus terang kami bahkan lupa kapan pernah merekam demonya, sepertinya bahkan operator studio merekamnya tanpa sepengetahuan kami :) kredit kami harus berikan setinggi - tingginya pada dimas zaki firdausi a.k.a samid @monsterkrupuk karena menjadi pengarsip maha selo nan bandel, bisa - bisanya dia punya rekaman demo melbi yang bahkan personil kami gak ada yang punya.
Kami lalu dengar, beberapa pendengar setia @pamityang2an mulai meminta radio qwerty yang seru itu memutarnya lebih sering.
melalui sedikit diskusi kecil, terutama atas inisiatif Ojie Adrianto (Kongsi Jahat) dan Yopie Jenggot, kami memutuskan untuk membaginya saja sekalian, setengah resmi, terutama karena sudah bisa kami bayangkan (sebagaimana terjadi pada versi demo BJS), pastilah lagu-lagu ini sebentar saja akan beredar di internet, tanpa bisa kami cegah.
Pikiran sederhana kami, justru jika kami membaginya dalam semacam satu paket EP begini, kami jadi bisa menyertakan catatan pengantar ini, sekaligus memohon maklum atas keserampangan pikiran yang tertuang didalamnya, ketidaksempurnaan kualitas tata suara, dan berbagai kekurangan lainnya. sekali lagi, terimakasih sudah mau mengunduh dan melegakan hati dan telinga untuk mendengar lagu-lagu yang tak bisa dipercaya ini.

Alright, I'm going to come right out here and admit to come cultural bias here; while I'm king of sick of American retro-thrash ala MUNICIPAL WASTE and HAVOK, I'm still stoked on its Indonesian equivalent. As evidenced by how much I enjoyed this CD, samples I can't understand and all. This is total fucking NUCLEAR ASSAULT / SODOM . WITCHERY worship, with sick double-bass, tough-as-fuck vocals and some seriously killer riffs and melodic solos. All the lyrics are in Indonesian, which definitely makes the whole thing cooler. In fact, the only English lyric in the entire booklet is: "Head Bang Mosh Stage Dive and Circle Pit", so you know where the fuck these guys are coming from. This is 1000% better than the last TOXIC HOLOCAUST record, and well worth your time if you enjoy a spot of thrash in your musical diet. (Andrew Underwood, Maximum Rock and Roll #337)

Prithvi Dukkha merupakan album pertama yang akhirnya bisa rampung sejak band ini didirikan pertengahan tahun 2008 silam, pengerjaannya telah dilakukan sejak tahun 2013 setelah kami selesai merekam materi demo (2008-2013). Prithvi Dukkha diambil dari bahasa sansekerta Prithvi /Pertiwi yang berarti Bumi sedangkan Dukkha merupakan penderitaan/kesedihan, jadi Prithvi Dukkha merupakan sebuah derita ataupun kesedihan yang dialamai oleh Pertiwi(Bumi).
