Belfast based Phil Kieran is back on Twin Turbo with remixes from TWR72 and Catz 'N Dogz. 

One of the most reliable producers around, with a discography that includes releases on heavily respected era-defining labels (Cocoon, Soma, Skint, Novamute, Gigolo, and his own Phil Kieran Recordings), Phil has managed to consistently reinvent his sound, staying cool without ever being trendy - a quality which is reinforced by his affiliation with Tiga's label, who have done the same over their 15+ year history. 

There's a sense of cool conviction here, no doubt rooted in vast experience. Sonically refined grooves honed to their essential steel underpin top-line melodies that are confidently off-centre. It takes real skill to go 'wonky' but not lose your audience. There's nothing superfluous, just a pair of solid club tracks built for very different rooms: Liquid Night - a cold hard warehouse assassin - and Saturdays - a warm club pumper. 

Mixing things up, Dutch duo TWR72 take their concrete fists to Liquid Night, while Polish tech-house pair Catz 'N Dogz dim the lights and deepen the groove on Saturdays.

The Swindlers return and not a minute too soon as far as we’re
concerned!  The hardest working duo in house music have had a
mental couple of years playing every club and festival known to
man, having babies, seemingly buying up the entire stock of vintage
studio gear off ebay and thankfully knocking out some banging tunes
on top of all that.  Well all club bangers gratefully received here
at Freerange so with open arms and ears we’re happy to be bringing
you the Figure Of Speech EP.
Just as the non-believers think they know what to expect from these two they’ve thrown a rather large curveball and headed down a different road. Figure Of Speech wears some African influences on its sleeve with a bumping party groove punctuated by some nifty
afro beat keys stabs and just a hint of acid. Victoria’s Secret
treads more familiar Detroit Swindle territory with the boys trademark shuffling beats and larger-than-life side-chained pads bringing the drama. Finally, we have suitably titled Live At The Cosmic Carnival where we’re treated to some peaktime tribal business with rolling bass, dubbed out dancehall science and some nifty conga work. All in all, some fiyah for the dancefloor from a pair of lads who know a thing or two about how to get a room jumping.

Detroit Swindle -  Figure Of Speech [Freerange Records] (96Kbps)

For the third release on DIG Curated, Marrønn steps in to present a trailblazer in Tbilisi’s underground sene – Irakli Bregvadze aka Uväll. He is known for groove-driven, high-energy techno, emerging from the heart of Georgia’s electronic music movement, where the mantra “We dance together, we fight together” symbolises a commitment to unity and resistance. His production style – a potent fusion of hypnotic rhythms and raw intensity – is designed for big-room club spaces, capturing dancers in an immersive experience throughout. Uväll’s magnetic sound lies in touching all elements while never failing to keep the minimalism as intriguing as it is mysterious. His undulating rhythms, draped with enigmatic synths, work seamlessly at both faster and slower tempos, keeping the tracks deeply catpivating.

With Northern Lights’ heavy pulsations that control and mold the listener, it becomes clear why Marrøn—who has been consistently curating the steamiest dancefloors—would choose to present Uväll’s music as a precious discovery. Both artists seem to be born under similar stars, living and breathing the social movement that techno is, standing up for freedom of expression and border-transcending values.

Renowned for his deep-rooted dedication to the underground techno community, Marrøn lends his endorsement and artistic appreciation to the release. As a co-founder of Eerste Communie, Marrøn has consistently championed forward-thinking sounds and community-driven dancefloor experiences, making him the utlimate advocate for DIG Curated’s mission. A shift in perception, a rupture in the known—Isabel Soto carves a new space within the abyss with Habitat Alteration. Sine Space 7 is very proud to present the latest EP by Isabel Soto, reinforced with a remix by the fantastic Elisa Batti. Available on vinyl and digital on the 16th of May. This latest EP is an exploration of tension, with the distinctive hypnotic pulses that are so characteristic of Soto.

With a meticulous blend of deep, rolling basslines and unsettling, high-pressure pad textures, Soto orchestrates an environment where time distorts and the senses unravel. Widely acclaimed for his standout EPs on Clergy, Bidoben makes his debut on Sublunar with Torment, an EP that distills his vision of techno into a multifaceted journey, marked by precision, depth, and a sound that’s unmistakably his own.
