Fuel At Night vol.1

Brand new!! Just uploaded this set that I recorded on the 4th of July, and it’s a combination of emotive, euphoric, summery-vibe tracks that I just loved. This mix was inspired by the joyous feelings we’re experiencing of finally coming out of COVID lock-down, being able to see friends and family and even people’s smiles again (w/o masks), and it just so happened that I went to see my very first DJ show on June 30th, which was also the day that the State of Washington removed most COVID-19 restrictions. To coincide with that ceremonious occasion, we had Anjunadeep rising star, Tom Marshall, a.k.a. MARSH, for the FIRST “Sunset Sessions On the Hiyu” DJ boat cruise since the pandemic began, and also my first show, of any sort whatsoever, since then as well. I am cautiously optimistic that life is returning back to normal, but I can’t imagine a more perfect event to have kicked it off than seeing Marsh play live out on the water in the lovely Puget Sound. I took that draw-bridge picture for the cover art for this mix from that very boat cruise as well! Anyway, I had been working on this demo set for a while and got to play it live at my DJ buddy Eric Weber’s annual DJ BBQ down in Tacoma, which was a blast, and also submitted a version of it for a guest DJ mix for DJ friend in Portland's “PFB Radio” podcast, but I really liked how this set turned out, and I hope you like it too. I know COVID is still here and not everyone is out of the woods yet, so no matter where you're located, just stay positive my friends, make sure to get vaccinated if you haven’t already (if you’re able to), and we’ll all get through this together. It has been an exciting year for indie-electronic producer Biicla because although he is from a small town in Russia, his music has found its way across the airwaves around the world. This singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist burst onto the scene with a fresh sound that combines the hard-hitting elements of future bass with grungy synths, hip-hop grooves, and experimental nuances - and he hasn't looked back since.

Over the past year, Biicla has kept busy releasing his debut album No Place, a plethora of singles and remixes, and most recently his Outside EP which beautifully showcases his unique production style and gives listeners an insight into his mind. Now, as he continues to take the world by storm, fans will finally be able to experience all the incredible productions Biicla has been working on in concert as he makes his way stateside performing at Insomniac's Lost In Dreams, Deadbeats Revival Tour, Illfest, and HARD Summer, as well as direct support for EVAN GIIA and TOKiMONSTA on their upcoming tours. 

Biicla has undoubtedly been releasing some of the most infectious dance tunes and should be an artist to keep on your radar for 2021 and beyond.
