"I had committed to writing a jubilee song for Nigeria. I was moved to hone in on my message on December 31, 2010 when we were shocked by the Abuja bombings. In my view, the bombings are a metaphor of the hopelessness and impending tragedy that may lie ahead if we do not become more engaged in building the country we desire. I realize that the crisis in the nation is beyond the political. We each need to personalize Project Nigeria and take a stand for Nigeria NOW. And so, the first lines of the song are about just how important we are as a generation at this time in our history. My hope is that as you listen to this song, you are stirred and realize that the future that we dream of is not way ahead of us. By looking within NOW, we draw in that future. One action. One person at a time. We must embrace the moment. I leave you with the words of my friend, Fela Durotoye: “Deliver the future: We can. We must. We will.”

I finished writing this song on my travel to the destroyed parts of Northern Nigeria. I saw first hand what it means to lose hope and how powerful and necessary hope is in moving forward. This song put hope on my lips and I hope it fires up the same in the heart of everyone that listens.

COLD

SPONTANEOUS WORSHIP AT TY BELLO'S featuring TOMI FAVORED AND TY BELLO in PASS OVER (TAFI)

Last week Thursday was really spontaneous. I had a very big impression in my spirit that we needed to worship deep. But I hadn't invited anyone and I didn't have any name on my heart. Somehow, George brought Tomi Favored 's name up and we found out she was actually in Nigeria. Within 2 hours, we were worshipping together like we had known each other all our lives. But beyond that, I think it's the force and the authority she brought to the table that was the biggest gift. There's a siege upon the earth from #coronavirus and as we do all the things that are needful, we don't stay careless spiritually...We also take authority in the Spirit. Like the last post from the same session, if ever you are in doubt of how to pray and what to say...pray along and sing along.

TY BELLO : THE MORNING SONG  BOOK (10.10.14) today's date is really interesting. In so many ways, it speaks of complete cycles.. Perfection. Double 7+7=14...Two complete cycles...Whole.
In 2009 I begun this amazing season where I would write music to God as my morning devotion. It was a unique time of discovery and I I felt it was a unique way to give of myself...Open and sincere...It wasn't long that I realized that I was receiving way more than I was giving. Every beautiful exchange with God always leaves us with more. I was also humbled when I got this heartfelt assurance that he thought the songs were perfect.
