French-Canadian producer and live act Christophe Dubé, aka CRi, is a dance music star in the making. 2020 saw the release of his acclaimed debut LP ‘Juvenile’, which won resounding praise from Clash, NME and DJ Mag, and has racked up over seven million streams to date. Following A-list remixes from Gerd Janson, DJ BORING, Jean-Michel Blais and Icarus, CRi now shares the complete ‘Juvenile (Remixed)’ LP, with fresh offerings from Studio Barnhus label boss Kornél Kovács, Chinese composer and DJ, Yu Su, US producer Byron The Aquarius, newcomer Kotastu and a new rework from CRi himself.

With remixes for Pet Shop Boys, George Fitzgerald and HONNE in his repertoire, legendary Swedish producer Kornél Kovács makes his debut appearance on the label, working his magic on standout LP single ‘Runaway’. With highly-regarded originals on Ninja Tune's Technicolour and a critically-acclaimed debut LP 'Yellow River Blue' under her belt, Kaifeng-born, Vancouver-based producer Yu Su joins the label. Her leftfield, dream-like rework of 'Love Spirit' feat. Sophia Bel comes after a career-affirming few years, and plaudits from Pitchfork and Resident Advisor.

Alabama-based deep house aficionado Byron The Aquarius follows on from remixes for electronic favourites Session Victim and Folamour, providing our second new take on ‘Runaway’. Completing the package, CRi shares his own club revision of LP hit ‘From Me’ feat. Bernache, before rounding off with exciting newcomer, British producer Kotatsu, who offers up an emotionally-charged remix of fan favourite ‘Never Really Get There’ feat. Jesse Mac Cormack.

How It Feels

This is the track for the Flooded Caves in my soundtrack, "The Binding of Isaac: Sacrilege." This was a fun but annoying track to create since I used a LOT of rhythmic elements. Around this part of the game, the vibe of the tracks like "Repentant" and "Atonement" were more percussive and filtered, so I made that my goal, and though I did accomplish that, mixing was a whole other obstacle. But I think this track is by far the most similar-sounding to the original soundtrack!

German Brigante delivers us a powerful four-track-EP where the Andalusian shapes his style, pushing his own productions until reaching unexplored limits. This new work entitled, ‘Sintetic Love’ shows an introspective journey where the infamous DJ and producer guides us respecting his unique and indistinguishable sound signature.

Title cut, ‘Sintetic Love’ is a housey cinematic composition which opens with a phrenetic call and response between the inimitable 808 drum sound. A nice electro bassline is added playing an arpeggiated funky pattern while the detuned string adds a melancholic feeling. As the track evolves a female voice captivates the listener in an extremely well-built breakdown.

Next up, ‘Babylon’ is made for the 100% Brigante lovers. In this track you can feel the essence that is closely linked to German. With a pitched down voice, an electro bassline and multiple effects, this track is in a constant evolution offering great momentums. As third track, ‘Somewhere’ is an ethnic one that offers a nice low end since its very first beats due to the 808 toms and kick drum. An ethereal voice makes a stunning appearance in certain moments of the composition. Last but not least, ‘Take My Hands’ closes things in style with a clear four to the floor beat. This cut drops a techno vision on Brigante’s eyes. Specially made for peak-time moments, ‘Take My Hands’ is perfect for a magic closing as last track.
