'THE HEIST' is now underway. 💰🏃

This is a collaborative record between Los Angeles based record label Good Society and Lyon, France based label Retro Jungle Records (@retrojungle). This once in a lifetime project brings together many of our generation's most notable beat scene creators such as The Kount, Rob Araujo, Kaelin Ellis, and Louis Futon, with a cross generational touch in featuring Matt Johnson the keyboardist of Jamiroquai.

This compilation album is a leading case in which artists who are all actively creating a massive impact on today’s Hip Hop/ Funk scene are being brought together to create a punchy, groovy, boom bap powerhouse. THE HEIST has seen its full release on all digital platforms as well as a special edition released on vinyl in extremely limited supply. (Only 300 vinyls pressed which are available for preorder now!)

These days IAMNOBODI is working full time on his debut album. A couple of weeks ago he spend an evening listening to Dilla, Slum Village and MNSGN and ended up playing around with some sounds closer to classic rap beats then his usual signature soulful futuristic productions. The next morning he had created 8 tracks full of raw drums, chopped up soul samples and warm bass lines. This guy can do it all!!!

We have been slacking a bit with dropping that limited, limited vinyl material so here we go again. Each release will be limited to 100 hand numbered 12" EP copies.

Woody Latuheru a.k.a KA-YU (DTW/AIM) is a young producer, percussionist and dj from a little village in Holland called Oosterwolde. His roots lay in Holland and Kilang, a village in Ambon, one of the Islands of Maluku. His love for music and beatmaking goes very deep and the music he makes comes right from his heart and soul.

In his later years, he began listening to Hip Hop and R&B which shaped his sounds. At the age of 14, he started making sample based beats and taught himself the fundamentals, sampling jazz, soul, funk & r&b.

In 2014 he really started to focus on making good quality music and released the song ''Forbidden Fruit''. This was a eyeopener to him to push his music career to a next level.
Currently he is working hard on his beats and is also focussing on being a percussionist.

KA-YU's inspirations to make music comes from God, his family, the Art In Melodies collective and his ancestors. but his biggest source of inspiration will always be his father who taught him how to play rhythms on several percussion instruments.

Be on the lookout as he's currently working on a EP, ''Yung Kayubesi'' due out later on this year.

So, it is an understatement to say that we are very excited to be working on this particular campaign with them to inspire the younger generation towards creative heights.
