Ty Good originates from and currently resides in Columbus, Ohio. He began his musical journey in 1990s during his high school years. Ty would recite freestyles in the hallways with his friends at school. Ty continued to hone his skills as a lyricist and performer from that point onward.

A couple years later, he began recording songs for fun in the bedroom of his cousin, producer Groove City. Ty refers to the combination of Groove’s brand of soulful, emotional Hip Hop beats and his own thought-provoking, rhythmic lyrical style as “Beautiflow”. Ty and Groove also continued to record together on and off through the early 2000s.

Ty then began performing at various events around the Ohio State University campus and downtown Columbus. In 2007, Ty Good was the feature artist of the launch campaign and first issue of VesselVibe magazine.

In 2010, Ty joined forces with SoulMind  founder, TecNice’ and longtime producer Groove City to begin work on new material for local and national internet release.

Ty’s musical influences include a wide range of artists, styles and genres. Many say he would be successful in a more mainstream genre but the mesh of gospel and rap music is where he chooses to use his talents. Although he does not imitate or mimic any other artists, he does possess the uncanny talent of recording from memory instead of reading his rhymes.

Ty never commits a verse to paper. All songs come straight from his muse to the microphone. This talent often gets him compared to the likes of artists such as Jay-Z. The reviews don’t deter Ty from his mission to glorify God through song.

As a devout Christian man and talented lyricist, Ty continues to represent wholesome values and promote the gospel of Jesus Christ throughout the world.
