As per the prompt from Samples From Mars, the sounds used here are limited to those from the sample pack "Kawaii Dreams from Mars" with the exception of the drums. The melody and arrangement are inspired by music from late 20-century synth-rock bands like the Yellow Magic Orchestra.

Working from a couple specified parts, this arrangement, with original vocals and instrument parts (however derivative) grew organically over a couple of days into what you hear here.

Another Time

This year's musical Christmas card, a mashup of a couple of Christmas classics, plus a little reference to an old Swedish folk song known as "Julbocken" ("The Christmas Goat").

Holly and the Ivy / Hark the Herald Angels Sing

A medley of Christmas tunes, this year (2018) featuring Swedish folk melody God Morgon Här Kär Fader Vår ("Good Morning, Dear Father") arranged together with the classic carol Good King Wenceslas. The result is a much more traditional approach in arrangement and instrumentation as compared to previous years.

In advance of the release of his album Gliss Riffer on February 24, 2015, Dan Deacon released multiple stems—elements from the album's first single "Feel The Lightning" for fans to play around with. After a few hours of tinkering on a Rhodes with phaser, I came up with this adaptation.
The vocal parts and recordings are the intellectual property of Dan Deacon.  The drums, keyboards, guitars, and arrangement are my own.
