É característica dos que se reconhecem em cada abraço dado com vigor numa pista de dança energética, em cada atitude altruísta tida com quem nunca se viu na vida e, para além da celebração psicodélica, dos que ressoam positiva e verdadeiramente nas vidas uns dos outros. É condição e não estado, pois se nasce idiossincrático. 

Este novo EP do Tykyra, lançado de forma totalmente independente, convida o ouvinte a adentrar num mundo fantástico de cores, felicidade e pura energia, elaborado por uma mente inquieta mergulhada em boas intenções. Contém 5 faixas que carregam a universalidade de referências desse músico ilimitado, desprendido de rótulos definidores, distante completamente de limitações impostas por críticos de alguma publicação metida a besta. Do post-rock ao carimbó, do ambient ao synth pop com aquela pitada necessária de grindcore. Negócio meio Nine Inch Nails com Mahavishnu Orchestra, sabe? Está tudo ali em plena harmonia, eis a beleza suprema das composições do Tykyra.

A cada faixa descortinamos imensidões de sensações animadoras, nos afastando totalmente de introspecções rumo aos pensamentos mais elevados possíveis.  Autenticamente um alívio para as nossas almas esmagadas por cotidianos maçantes e notícias terríveis, uma ode ao que verdadeiramente importa estarmos vivos: o momento presente.

O mundo pode ser bruto, mas a arte está aqui para subverter toda e qualquer dor.

It is a difficult word to say, but the quality it carries is one of the noblest.

“Idiosyncrasy” means the peculiarity of those who value a wide open smile, a loud laugh without giving a damn about the judgments of those who have established themselves as “normal people”. It is characteristic of those who recognize themselves in every hug given vigorously on an energetic dance floor, in every altruistic attitude taken with someone they have never met in their lives and, beyond the psychedelic celebration, of those who resonate positively and truly in each other's lives. It is a condition and not a state, as one is born idiosyncratic.

This new Tykyra EP, released completely independently, invites the listener to enter a fantastic world of colors, happiness and pure energy, created by a restless mind steeped in good intentions. It contains 5 tracks that carry the universality of references from this unlimited musician, detached from defining tags, completely away from limitations imposed by critics of some stupid publication. From post-rock to carimbó, from ambient to synth pop with a necessary pinch of grindcore. Kind of a Nine Inch Nails mixed with Mahavishnu Orchestra, you know? It is all there in full harmony, here is the supreme beauty of Tykyra's compositions.

In each track we discover immensities of uplifting sensations, moving us away from introspection towards the highest possible thoughts. Authentically a relief for our souls crushed by boring daily lives and terrible news, an ode to what truly matters to be alive: the present moment.

The world may be brutal, but art is here to subvert any and all pain.

We are very proud about this release! This is a thematic compilation about Brazilian Folklore. The very best artists agree in producing each one a track about a distinct legend that is common around Brazil's many places. Divided in two volumes, the first one is a more daylight experience and the second, a night time vibe. The cover was hand made with ink and represents each legend contained in the release. An idea matured about a year ago, now comes to life after carefull production by Arrábida Records contributors.

Essa música nasceu como uma vontade de fazer algo junto e começou a ser escrita no final de 2020. Muita coisa aconteceu no mundo desde então e agora finalmente ela é lançada.

A friendship and an experiment. Jungle Fuzz is the project of guitarist and producer Daniel Lopes. Before both projects existed, the friendship of the two producers goes back more than 15 years.
