A Little While Longer: a longing for a brief moment in time. A thought back to days past and time spent with loved ones or friends. What we do with the brief moment we have in this life. What we decide is important enough to spend it on.

It’s been more than four years since Lenzman’s last project on The North Quarter. During his absence the label has hardly struggled, continuing to demonstrate its relevance with a roster of diverse and exciting international artists. This has set the stage for his welcome and long awaited return home with ‘A Little While Longer’.

Written over a space of three months, it tackles the emotions and challenges of a total change of rhythm and routine, frustrated confinement and overcoming a void in inspiration. In the end it was once again his close family that inspired his creativity and process.

This body of work was brought together by the use of old recordings and found sound, sampling bespoke piano pieces and through collaboration, as well as forever finding his inner thoughts and feelings as his primary guide. This brief moment in time might feel more like an interlude, but it's an extended one that shows off Lenzman's signature brand of Hip Hop influenced Drum & Bass music.

Today we are proud to present ​​‘Guilty Pleasures’ by Cambridge-based producer ​​Saikon; the first 'INN100S' single from the forthcoming album​​, Innerground 100. Steadily building from expectant strings and soulful vocal chops, ‘Guilty Pleasures’ crescendos into a wave of rolling grooves and high energy, bouncy stabs. He's proved once again - you wouldn’t expect anything less! 

​​Saikon - Guilty Pleasures is out on all platforms 24th September 2021, with the full Innerground 100 album following on the 5th November 2021.

​​Innerground 100 will be the label's 100th release since its formation in 2003 and will include tracks from some of the most exciting and best-respected names in Drum & Bass, including Marky himself, Random Movement, Alibi, Collette Warren, Paul SG, Pola & Bryson and more.​ ​

This October sees the continuation of the After Party series on Liquid V, as we move into the third full length edition. Twenty tracks of liquid bliss individually compiled by Donovan 'Bad Boy' Smith, plus a continuous DJ mix from the man himself to tie it all together.

As with the previous two After Party complications, the tracks are fully focused on the afterglow, and able take you down to the deepest depths of Drum & Bass. After Party features the likes of Sl8r, Inja, Sherona Knight, Acuna, Beat Merchants and Illmatika, as well as some fresh talent head-hunted by Donovan 'Bad Boy' Smith for this project.

Radio DJ, mix master extraordinaire, mentor and one of the unsung heroes from the early days of drum and bass, Donavan ‘Bad Boy’ Smith’s – one of the original proponents of Britain’s Soul, House and Rare Groove scene – contribution to the UK’s underground music scene cannot be understated. Donovan’s love for deep and soulful Drum n Bass is as strong as ever, with this Various Artists project on Bryan Gee and Jumpin’ Jack Frost’s seminal label, Liquid V, epitomising this.

The man who needs no introduction is back with a rework of one of the most iconic and popular tracks from his My Heroes album, “Silly”.

That’s right! DJ Marky has given “Silly” the VIP treatment with a tub-thumping amen break complimenting the smooth and soulful flow that only the Brazilian maestro can deliver. Friction has already aired the track on his BBC Radio 1 show and considering the damage the original version did, things are looking hot for this VIP remix.

The flip side is another liquid roller in the shape of “Ready 2 Go” that is jam-packed full of the summer flavour Innerground has become renowned for.

The digital package comes with an extra flourish as Nytron Power turns his attention to another hit from the ‘My Heroes” longplayer, “Bella Drix”. Nytron’s many influences around Techno, Nu-Disco, House and Electro are all present here, with an ebb and flow to the bassline that really gets the juices flowing.
