Currently based in Detroit, MI Thane of Earth has been steadily carving a name in the experimental bass world. Their live performances have left lasting impressions at events like Secret Dreams Art Gallery and Great Lakes Flow Retreat, and their catalog includes a release with Widdfam, a victory in DDT Pro’s mix competition opening for Kursa, and a recent collaboration with Grammy-nominated artist Cymek.

Musically, Thane’s style is rooted in deep dubstep and experimental low-end explorations. The forthcoming single “Hearing Voices” (out October 31, 2025 on Grand Alliance Music) marks another step into shadow and ritual. At 140 BPM, the track moves like an invocation, built with seismic bass weight and spectral atmospheres, perfectly timed for the label’s annual Halloween release tradition.

With upcoming appearances at Great Lakes Flow Retreat and Big Fam Festival, Thane of Earth is further grounding their presence in the live bass circuit. Comparable to artists like The Widdler, Distinct Motive, Wraz, Khiva, and Truth, Thane forges their own lane within the deep dubstep community while staying tethered to the experimental ethos of Detroit.
