I love this so much it carries a ton of emotion  and it doesnt even have any words. Its just amazing... i would love to write something like this one day its just so powerful and raw.

try to notice the little things-sun rays creating diverse shadows, backlit dust particles, moonlight shapes dancing on the wall, puddles reflecting the clouds above...random things. seemingly ordinary things that really are pretty cool if you ask me. learning to appreciate small things makes staying positive easier, and makes the big good things seem even greater. there's a heckuva lot of beauty in this world.

Folie à deux

This comes from my desire to lie on the roof and just stare into the sky while notes morph with my brainwaves..I just really feel at home in that place. Sometimes I want to do that forever. Though I can't leave reality forever, music allows me to leave for a few minutes at a time. I think it's really important to have an artist or a collection of songs that take you to a safer place than your mind and the world around you. For me, a lot of that music is instrumental, letting me create the scenery and meaning for myself. It provides the emotion and feeling; I take it and make it what I need it to be at that moment. Many of my nights are cloaked in a curtain of unsettling silence-a feeling of being perfectly fine yet fearful of what that means or of what may come. If I can thumb through my archives and find a song that fills that emptiness for a moment, that's a high praise for that piece. In my opinion, a song is worth all the time and effort and frustration it took up in its creation if it can bring even just one person to a better place for just one second. That's what I hope this song can do for someone-transport them to a little safer and a little calmer place than wherever they presently stand. Reality may have to come again in 6 minutes, but for right now, we're gone. And that's a good place to be for a span in time. 

You may notice sudden, choppy changes, discordant chords, and jumbled notes. they HAVE purpose; so I left them as they are. Life has sudden changes that don't please us. Discordance and corruption is the language of humanity. Things aren't always pretty, and I find beauty in that. As for the rushed and jumbled notes growing louder and more overlapping each second...I got lost in the moment. I was enjoying the sounds and feelings I got from letting my hands and mind run wild. Discordance is beautiful to me, because it reminds me of the truth that perfection is unattainable and flaws shouldn't be hidden.
