Some of the best people I've had the privilege of calling my friends. There were a lot of great times that went into making this EP. I recorded most of it on my laptop out at my mom's house in a giant wooden room during the summer. Nobody gets cell phone service out at my mom's so we ended up renting lots of movies like Giant Shark vs Mega Octopus and Taken and watching them all night. There's a lot of Liam Neeson embedded into this music lol.

For those who don't know, I play guitar in this band. This one was a ridiculous amount of fun. Chris borrowed all of the instruments for this from his High School band room. We tracked it when I lived down by University of Dayton in the middle of the night. Everything is real in this one yoooooo.

This is probably the quickest I've ever recorded a track. Mike Adkins is a great song writer and friend. He came in and we were able to cut this track in about four hours the night before I left for tour. This song has always been special to me for some reason, and I'm really glad I get to share it.

This song was a blast to track. I don't know if I've ever had as much fun as I did listening to Adam sing the harmony to the line "MAKING MONEEEEYYY!!!!" LOLOL. When we weren't working on music, we were usually fantasising about all these hilarious butt-rock bands on the Warped Tour Battle of the Bands site. One day we're gonna make a band called "Six Pack" and we're gonna take over the Dayton bar scene. Also, if you're in a good band, chances are Adam can do a hilariously crude impression of your music. Anyways, the track came out catchy and edgy just like we wanted. I can't wait to finish these newer songs and so they can release this beast EP.

Eric, the singer, is a really rad dude. He made this band after surviving a near-death car accident that changed his life. I can't even imagine what something like that must feel like. Despite being born from a dark place, FKTC are some of the craziest people I've got to know. Their bass player Jake shares my love of John Mayer. Their guitar player Neff wanted to fight me like 1000x because I kept ruining all his guitar riffs with my crappy recording techniques. The same goes for Drew. Anyways, this track was more or less the ballad of the EP.

New York - Fall Kills the Calendar

This song is the result of a lot of hard work from a band that wanted to spend the time to get it perfect. It is the first single from their first-ever full length album, and I'm very proud of what we've created here. The album is called "At War" and is a loose concept record based not around a literal war, but the battles we face in our everyday lives. It is an inspiring story which is told, not only through the medium of melody and lyric, but also through historical speeches from some of our world's fiercest believers. The album, which flows start to finish, finds itself somewhere between inspirational rock modernism and cinema-esque escapism.

Motions - This Love

In the short time that I've been working with Life After Liftoff, I've seen INCREDIBLE growth and change as musicians and as people. The vocalist/guitarist Lee Weiss has managed to become one of my close friends, and aside from us always talking about Harry Potter, venting about band problems, and watching Britney Spears videos, he's also a great song writer. This was the first single off of the "Memory of You EP" and will later be featured on his upcoming beast of an album that we're busting out. Better believe I'm gonna post those next.

Someday - Life After Liftoff

This song came into existence because I've never had an honest opportunity to record any metal bands, but I've always wanted to try it out on a smaller scale. I wrote, tracked, mixed, and mastered this whole song in one evening just to showcase some basic skills and techniques usually employed with this type of genre. Never had a chance to tune my guitar to drop B or A# until now.

PS the ending is drop A# tuned down an extra octave
