Tympanum Records is thrilled to announce the long-awaited return of Secus with a full-bodied EP, 'Synapse.' This Los Angeles-based artist is revisiting the label that introduced him to the world, and this time, it's a complete story spread across five unique tracks.

'Synapse' is more than just another EP; it's a chronicle of several years of deep exploration and untamed creativity from one of electronic music's most esteemed talents. This comprehensive body of work represents a broad spectrum of Secus's sound, showcasing a truly immersive auditory journey.

The EP opens with "Fractured Eternity," an experimental masterstroke with a gripping intensity that captures the ear from the first note. The track weaves through innovative soundscapes, challenging the listener's expectations and presenting new dimensions in every beat.

Josh Sturges begins the release with a stripped, calm, and simply cool groover, a foundational club filler from the label boss. Following up is a return from label regular Secus, with a brooding, and stealthy, yet fast, and razor-sharp Techno rhythm. We continue with a newcomer to the label, David James Drume, who delivers with cut-throat, slamming tribal madness, a hearkening to the Birmingham greats. Next is the return of EAS, under alias FM2031, with a classic sounding, robotic Electro heater. Finally, we introduce SOLëM to the imprint with an astounding, left-field, darker than night piece, sweeping, fast, and thought-provoking. This return from Tympanum Records introduces new voices, new sounds, visits old friends, while simultaneously staying true to form, and delivering fresh hammers for the dance floor culture. What started as a live stream at Moscow’s Mutabor on 3rd May 2020, has morphed into the first instalment of a new digital compilation series on трип: Hot Steel.

The concept is simple: trip head Nina Kraviz announces the stream date and sends out a call to artists for their unreleased work to oidodekraviz@gmail.com, all genres are welcome. After the stream takes place, the favourite tracks are signed and a few weeks later Hot Steel is released. 

To kick off the series, Hot Steel features newcomers, fresh talent and already established artists from all over the world: from New Zealand to Spain, Belgium, Italy, Germany, Poland to the US and Canada, but also Russia, France, the Netherlands and Georgia. 

Hot Steel will be released on 19th June to join Bandcamp in their commitment on that day and give 100% of the sales from the compilation to NAACP Legal Defense Fund.

Chlär utilises his experiences in sound cultivation and brings to the table a super strong EP full of eclectic textures and pounding grooves. With his ever exotic moods, highly effective rhythmics and exhilarating ambiances, this work marks an important step in his quest for captivating dance floors. 

Opening the package with title track ‘Artificial Supremacy’ invites 
frenzied drum licks alongside further menacing lead lines to take the EP firmly into the peak time hours.
