Recorded one night while disappearing, 5.10.21, at cavernlands. A cat named Mischa sat at the edge of the stairs looking bothered, but not enough to leave. In the distance I can hear the clanging from the Norfolk Southern yard. Down the street there's a stop sign covered in pro-police stickers... After months of back and forth, covering the stickers up, we stole the sign and left it in his yard. There's no end in sight to the police state. There's no end in sight to pigs killing Black and Brown folx in the street over loose cigarettes, counterfeit 20s, petty shoplifting, having a mental health crisis, and often just for existing. 

We have lived through the rapture. We are the ones not deemed worthy of heaven. We remain.

We live in a police state, where freedoms once thought inalienable have proven to be little more than privileges allowed to the working class so long as we behaved. The 2020 uprisings taught our corporate overlords one thing, and that is that they could never allow us to taste freedom ever again.We are here because too many of us did not see the writing the was on the walls then... Too many thought we could vote our way out. We are left with fewer choices each day.
