Nick Granado (malloc) was born, and raised in the suburbs east of Los Angeles. Now a San Francisco local he enjoys playing underground electronic music, specifically deep house, minimal, techno, and trance. He has played at Burning Man camps: Pink Mammoth, Toxic Disco Clams, Disco Chateau. He has also played at local SF venues Public Works, Phonobar, Underground SF, F8, The End Up, Armory Club, Wish Bar, and Codeword. He runs a monthly (3rd Thursdays) party at Underground SF as CCVO. The party prides itself on quality electronic music, not focusing on a specific genre, and showcasing local/international talent.

Sculpted by the San Francisco rave scene in the late 90’s, Steve Click was captivated by meditative electronic music. A heavy trance influence gradually turned into a love for the music he plays today. Celebrating the beauty of techno is at the forefront of his mind, continuing to explore this realm of consciousness with others. In addition to his production and live act through the duo project of Guidewire, Steve’s solo endeavor aims to spread the unifying sound of techno.

Francisco Ventura AKA Lumber Jack has been working in the underground circuit of Mexico City for over 12 years, working on a DJ style that feels somehow familiar and unusual at the same time. He’s part of Ext. crew alongside Gabo Barranco (AAAA), this party seeks for the freshest sounds and shares them with its somehow reduced but very demanding crowd. He’s also a resident DJ at Japan CDMX club with his monthly Heat Wave night. His DJ career spans throughout festivals such as Fascinoma, the Social and Apparitions, as well as headlining at venues like the Video Club in Bogotá, Bar Américas in Guadalajara, Corsica Studios in London, Forestlimit in Tokyo, the Astron Bar in Athens, and many more. Next up on Type III we have Pluto radio show host Gunni Ewok from Iceland showcasing a unique eclectic style. This mix incorporates imagery inspired sparse soundscapes amongst a foundation of complex drum rhythms. Infused with tribal low end, this mix provides minimalistic synth lines bordering towards rave. Gunni Ewok has been around the Icelandic dance music scene for more than a minute now. First getting noticed when he joined drum & bass crew Breakbeat.is back in 2002 where he was a resident DJ on their monthly club nights and weekly radio show. Breakbeat.is started pushing more of the experimental side of drum & bass and then later early dubstep and the general UK Bass sounds as well as the Chicago based Footwork/Juke sounds. Alongside this you could find him playing house, techno, disco, hip hop, r&b, and more experimental sets around Reykjavík. In 2013 Gunni Ewok and the Breakbeat.is crew decided to call it quits and shortly thereafter Gunni Ewok started Plútó with like minded DJs looking to push things forward. Plútó is a weekly radio show that has been going since 2014 as well as hosting regular club nights dedicated to the functional yet interesting parts of dance music be it new or old. So you can expect a healthy mix of bass heavy dance music across multiple genres when Gunni Ewok steps up behind the decks.

Jens Berte is a Berlin based Techno DJ, producer and the head of technø.logisch. He was born in a small village near by the Lake Constance where he started to get in contact with electronic music. After establishing himself in the techno scene in the south of Germany, he decided to move to Berlin to study Event technology & -management at Beuth University of applied Sience and of course to realize his own project. Type III 45 brings you Detroit native Augustus Williams. His set is a testament to his artistic evolution. In this exclusive hour and a half journey, Augustus Williams takes listeners through a dreamy yet sinister funk realm, marked by his Detroit take and roots. This DJ set is a showcase of his ability to create a minimal, psychedelic groove, enriched with his unmistakable punch—truly minimal funk that commands your attention. Artist Bio:
Augustus Williams, aka Gusto, is best defined by his pure Detroit sound, while incorporating funky house brought on by the memories of his childhood. At an early age, Gusto discovered a love for the Motown sound, but the music that captured him first was hip-hop and the genuine style and funk infusions. Gusto began to direct his energy through drum machines and sequencers, often combining those efforts for a no less than impressive show. Playing mostly live shows for the better part of the last 18 years, people often forget he started out as a DJ. In the studio, his tracks are made with the DJ and the dance floor in mind, and with this production thought he has developed the sound that defines him as a truly unique artist. The rest is not history, but the future for this talented die-hard as he continues to this day to kill dance floors with intense bass and funky hooks on that legendary Detroit sound he is known for. Augustus joined the Techno Snob collective in 2012 shortly after its inception in Detroit, and continues to promote the Detroit techno culture while further growing his craft.

Artist Bio:
American DJ / Texas Native: Since 2010 she's hosted Proton Radio's weekly Friday night underground demo mix show Bedroom Bedlam. Also is a talent scout for Proton Radio, Proton LTD, and submission label manager for Proton Sound System.
For the past 14 yrs her and her music partners have been active in building the Dallas Electronic Music scene by throwing club events and underground warehouse parties, by the name of Creme De La Creme, Lotus Ranch, Nothing But Techno, and host Static Interference a weekly Facebook DJ stream-cast, from her studio located in the warehouse district Dallas, TX. Hailing from Moscow, RYBA is a Berlin-based techno DJ whose name has come to prominence through her association with SCSI-9, a noted Russian minimal electronic act. Her vocal parts appear in the production of “The Line of Nine” released on Kompakt and "Senorita Tristeza" (“The Show is Not Mine”) on Klik Records. She is a member of FEMALE:PRESSURE, an international network of artists and activists self-tasked to raise the profile of women and other gender minorities in the industry. A former resident DJ at „Solyanka“, a famed underground club in Moscow, a regular contributor to RTS.FM broadcasting world-wide, and a fellow artist at “Studior°”, a label and the Internet TV station in Berlin, DJ RYBA is currently involved with WAVEREFORM RECORDS administering its affairs and busy playing in clubs – Tresor, About:Blank, Kater Blau, Golden Gate, to name her faves.

“My style is a sonic compound taking in dry monotonous sounds rolling on laconic beats which in progression become more playful, start shifting, slipping, stumbling with the base lines swelling into big-room techno. There at some point it enters into the negotiations with the emotionality of classic techno and sometimes hallucinates emitting acid vibes.”

His 31 years of being a DJ, and producer are evident in his sets carefully crafted to drive well educated dark corner dancefloors, while also remaining true to his Midwestern roots.

Formerly known as Milkplant, JX-216 is a San Francisco based Techno DJ/Producer. Schooled in the Midwest and developed on the West Coast, his work encompasses well over 30 years of combined DJ/production experience, and nearly 20 years of record label management. 

In 2008 he began the label From 0-1 with fellow artist Sone, and since then has released dozens of well respected artists on vinyl, CD, and digital formats. His live pa and DJ sets have been seen in various cities across the US, and he’s released original music and remixes on Sleaze Records, BEK Audio, Blank Code, Children of Tomorrow, Devotion, Suara, Impact Mechanics, TMM, SUB_tl, Ascetic Ltd., Vexed Sphere, From 0-1, etc.

Podcast 054 is a special one: a 3-hour (Fnoob will feature last hour) set from his extensive vinyl collection, recorded live in front of the Type III crew. We’re honored to present Australian-born artist Andrapodon, based in Berlin, for his first official mix in the series.

Andrapodon opens with a minimal, introspective mood, quietly setting the scene and painting a chilled, reflective atmosphere. From there, the energy subtly builds into a half-hat jackin' groove, keeping things restrained yet focused. As the set unfolds, it slips into a world of psychedelic textures, steadily guiding us deeper into a techno state. What begins as thumping minimal evolves into full-bodied techno pressure, edging into darker, more intense territory while maintaining a playful, eclectic spirit. Artist Bio:
Andrapodon is the techno alias of Australian-born, Berlin-based DJ and producer Nathaniel Andrews. Raised in a jazz household led by his father, saxophonist Paul Andrews, Nathaniel's musical roots stretch across jazz, classical, Aboriginal music, and early electronic experimentation. From playing trumpet in jazz orchestras to fronting punk bands and running guerrilla raves in Western Australia, his path has been defined by eclecticism and a relentless creative drive. A formative experience at an illegal bush doof ignited his passion for underground techno, eventually guiding him to Berlin, where he immersed himself in the city's rich club culture.

Drawing influence from labels like Ostgut Ton, MORD, Delsin, and ARTS, Andrapodon's sound is gritty, cerebral, and rhythmically complex, shaped by global scenes—from Chicago juke to South African Gqom and post-dubstep from the UK. Now based in Berlin, he’s become a resident contributor to Cassettehead Sessions, launched the Vokuhila Presents series on YouTube, and continues to dig deep into vinyl culture. With a growing presence in the European scene and acclaimed sets at venues like the Type III Mai 1st stage, Andrapodon is carving out a distinct space in the world of underground club music.

Hailing from somewhere deep in the shadows of the Dallas (USA) underground this veteran artist, with nearly two decades of existence in the scene, is no stranger to orchestrating dance floors into a late night mind f*&k. Influenced by dank dark warehouses and all night marathon sets, his weapons of choice have been known to focus primarily on minimal and techno. Beginning his exploration of electronic sound in the late 90's, he then spent the next 7 years hypnotized by his love for vinyl. During this time of experimenting with almost every source of music available to him, he always leaned toward the darker side of sound, finally finding his home with dark minimal techno. In early to mid 2010, he decided that producing his own music was the only way to go deeper into his own thoughts and express himself as an artist. After finally making material available to the public, he was immediately signed with Kontrol Records Rome and Mischkonsum Records of Stuttgart, Germany. His debut release "The Spell EP" and follow up releases "The Seven Year Detour EP" and "Time Machine EP" quickly seated themselves amongst some of the genre's elite at #17, #7 and #49 respectively on "Top Minimal 100" in 2012. His efforts have landed him gigs all over North America and abroad. Multiple appearances in NYC, also Washington DC, Denver, Vancouver BC, Austin, Shreveport, and most recently Berlin Germany just to name a few. He is constantly locked in the lab formulating a unique brew of sounds ranging from haunting and deep, dark and moody, to twisted and diabolic so prepare yourself to get lost in an audio journey into the depths of your own mind.

Italian , born in Chiavari in 1990 , Manuel Di Fiore aka Silentcell approaches the world of nightlife starting to attend events related to Techno / Electronic music
In one of those nights he found the passion for techno music and driven by the desire to live as a protagonist in the world of nightlife clubs , he started to keep in contact with a crew which has been in the leading Italian night events for years.
At this point, Manuel debuts in a local club, and then started to perform in front of the dance floor from other clubs such as Muddy Waters , Chez vous , Papagajo and many others, until he got the first international gig in Germany to play at Ava Club in Berlin
At the same time , Manuel came in contact with music production using Ableton live , experimenting with midi keyboards , samplers and Roland groovebox , and thanks to the music production he started his artistic formation.
He began to create his own style , powerful and tidy for details , mainly dark and industrial .

His DJ sets are characterized by performances with 4 decks with traktor plus the addition of external hardware as groovebox or maschine .

While rooted in techno, Type III explores a range of electronic sounds, aiming to create immersive experiences and bring artists together under a shared vision. The label’s first releases are on the horizon, and its event series has now begun.
