no guitars were used in this track - it is all grand piano midi through a vst plugin amp. i was once told that 'you have to use real guitars' and i made it my mission to prove them wrong. i think i accomplished it with this song's guitar sounds.

the 'kazoo'-like sounds are an homage to the sugar hill records of early hip hop which used kazoos as instruments, such as 'the birthday party' by grandmaster flash and the furious five. no actual kazoos were played during this song.

these songs have been trapped in my brain for decades, as i moved from scene to scene & discovered more underground/alternative music. i'm finally letting them out. no instruments were involved in the creation of these songs. all were made with hand-placed/manipulated midi notes in ableton live. i've been listening to these songs in my mind for many years & taught myself to re-create them in reality over the last four years. they are all combinations of many different genres & styles of music, from 1970s to today, which evolved as i found different genres over the years. they are at once genuine old school and contemporary creations.
