I wrote this song about the struggle to get out of the societal norm of working a 9-5 job and pursue my dream of being a full time musician.

I wrote this song about the concept of “not going to bed angry”. Couples fight, but saying “its fine” or “whatever” instead of having a conversation to resolve the disagreement is unacceptable in a mature loving relationship.

Tell Me

This is Tyson Ray Borsboom’s second studio album and first time being joined by a full band. There is songs ranging from a soft soulful folk sound to a full band sound. The full band sound rounded out in the studio and became one of an eclectic blend. From the  Americana style in Cant Go Home to the Indie Alternative feel in One Night the album shows all different styles and blends it into a new modern day indie artist. However the original singer songwriter in Tyson Ray still holds true in Fall where he embodies a true songwriter, Dermot Kennedy and executes song writing in its simples form. Drawing influences from Gregory Alan Issakov, Caamp, Shakey Graves and Dermot Kennedy, his developing sound is rounding into something unlike any other. 

 “I Don’t Mind”, is the most country/Americana song on the album, and is a tale of friendship and life tauma when the people closest to us experience hardships and even take there own life. “Never Said Before” is a true classic folk song, using only acoustic guitar and violin to tells the tale of modern day love and how sometimes it may be used to soon rather than not at all. The range in this album shows than artists can step out of the normality of being a one genre artist.
