Emerging out of the precocious Badabing catalogue is a shadowy figure with designs on House music. The man behind Frifot is an enigma with a foot in the history of Oslo’s club- and electronic music scene and a deft hand in House music production. 

Making his debut with Open Doors on the Vinny Villbass label, Frifot emerged fully formed, letting the “tiger” out of its cage on his first release. Besides recording, Frifot is also a live artist and making his debut on the stage last week, he came to the Jaeger Mix with a live set. 

Playing some bits from Open Doors, and mostly future releases, Frifot delivered a fast-paced introduction to his sound and style. Built on the foundations of House the tracks feature spacey atmospheres and bubbling melodies, driven by an insatiable groove.

FLEMMING DALUM - Immortal Flight Of The 80's

This year I had an experience like no other. This year I became a part of something, difficult to describe; something one would be struggling to put into words even if this “something” lasted for years, let alone less than a week. This year I tried to make the dessert dance! And it sure has been a gratifying attempt. 
Black Rock City, Nevada, moved to these tracks. They’ve been played like there was no tomorrow in Playa , and made people dance at the first Ukrainian camp site #Kurenivka. They are still throbbing and echoing in my head.  So, I’ve put them into a mix to dance and listen to, to feel again as white and pristine as that dessert, to transform again into a clear canvas, ready to be painted over, ready to have words splattered all over it, ready to stay unaltered, clean. 
Now, what’s in the mix? Firstly, Danilkin,  a guy from Kiev suburbs, who has created the timeless party-shaker 2Da Beat. Holy Fuck tweens, who’ve reworked Royksopp’s hit. Legends like  Leftfield, Jaydee and Freddy Fresh, weirdos out of nowhere Waffels,  and even a Nigerian Disco Shaman - Odion Iruoje, along with rockers Romare, Ratatat, AutoKratz and Brother Zac. And to top it all off, you’ve got the yet unreleased Ukrainian folk duo Yuko. All covered in white dust of the salty lake, baked to the bone under the Indian Sun.

It's Friday and today  we are very happy to present a mix by the London-based producer Timothy J. Fairplay @timothy-j-fairplay
He is an extremely talented producer, he's released music on the best labels from the electronic scene such as Mechatronica, Permanent Vacation, Giallo Records, Les Yeux Orange etc.

 We have to confess that we are a super fans of his radio show which airs on Threads Radio... such inspiring analogue sounds and a fantastic selection of electronic music.
Timothy today brings us a nice trip mix and an excellent contribution to the Italo moderni family.
