Expansion card for the KS with standard CV/gate/trigger outputs and CV processing functions such as portamento and transpose and output for the KS' sequencer internal clock.

A happy owner did this track and detailed the patch (quote) :
"all facilities of the card activated 
just only i played bass afterwards on top, rest sequence is entirely card 
bass was octave downed 
you really tuned it just perfectly 
2 sounds 
1 sound is played by KS sequencer using envelope and outputs on 1 
the other sound in on other output , volume off , and envelope opens the volume of this output inverted (by the way makes so much sense why they made outputs inverted haha) 
so ks sequences envelope also playing output 2s volume 
while doing this , playing the real time one , makes notes progressions 
you can see on the video , its the same patch 
on the card , glides and octaves activated 
inputs for oscs are totally routed by the card as progressed signales on input 1 and input 2 .
both sounds having totally different set of parameters by the ks card 
drums are a drum machine plug in in ableton 
ableton detects tempo of audio input on a given channel , (i routed headphones output of synthi to a dedicated input of sound card only for tempo detecting purpose) 
so once you have a ok recording on KS , as perfect as possible ,  drums at computer are following it 
the patch is this . i dont touch it since a while . 
its just perfect for double sound melodic playing
this card is an essential , as essential as one makes 20 mods on synthi
because really , its impossible to go back from this to stock ks setting .
it just quadruples the KS , and if you are ks lover no brainer .
and i simply take better timed recordings by reading from bar meter instead try to look at vu meter , that you couldnt look at the keyboard while playing recording ,
was something difficult for me to practice "

Well, not EMS device but part of it, I replaced the original Contour section (ADSR) with a Synthi envelope generator and some extra features : trapezoid polarity control, times extension, gate to trigger converter. The former multiple is now VCA signal in and out and "attack" button.

Live recorded, one take, the more boring parts were cut.

NEVER attempt to connect a KS to a Synthi A MK1 unless it was properly modified for this purpose. This would fry the original MK1 PSU that is not able to power a KS.

Filter is the early one ("18" db)

Synthi AKS-1 (without KS)

Modified VCS3 MKII playing in metal style, was a nice hazardous patch, when I switched the synth off and reswitched it on, didn't sound the same anymore and I couldn't get the nice groove back...
No effect, no overdub, no sequencer, no external device, recorded from headphone output.
