U-FUNK versus UFFU

UFFU which its also called U-FUNK was inspired by a schoolmate in the 80s. With wide eyes he watched him mix the hits of the time and he immediately realized: he wanted to be able to do that too.

U-FUNK grabbed an old quartz record player from his father, already a technics at the time, and bought a noname record player from his last savings. These were later supplemented by a mixer from Conrad Electronics. Badly equipped, but happy, U-FUNK set out on the long journey of mixing and scratching.

Years passed and the equimpent was turned against exchanged a professional tool. 
A new birth, the Technics 1200 MK II were there!
Two silver - old school. He would never forget this day of unpacking the 1200s. It was summer and christmas at the same time. Then there was the Ecler 42 and the perfecting of the mixing took its course. The first really good mixtapes and CDs were created and found plenty of happy friends.

His roots are in rock, in the late 80s there was a love of hiphop, black music, and later also a passion for electronic music.

The first gigs came at Housewahn, the first major parties where he could only learn to 
fine-tune his antennas to the audience.

The first warmups and bookings took place in the former UFO in Bernhausen, Bagwahn, P-Club and Housten.

During his studies as a graphic designer, he was a co-organizer of several large parties 
(at which he sometimes hung up), which found an influx of up to 500 party animals.

During this time the first music productions with Doc, a friend, took place. With the rap group "AKUT" there were some gigs first at garden parties and in youth centers. The highlight was to go on tour as the opening act for "Keilerkopf".

In addition, U-FUNK stopped at the following stations: floor2floor, Cafe Elements, both in Schwäbisch Gmünd, Ulmer Roxy, Charivari and Hansen in Ulm and the curve star in Berlin. Other addresses were: Phoenix Club in Hanover, Stars & Stairs in Nuremberg, Rohbau, Bravo Charlie in Stuttgart, Espresso Klub and the lemonlu bahçe in Istanbul.

In March 2007 he was local supporter for the Brothers Incognito from Dresden, who were guests in Stuttgart for two gigs. Back then the Finca and the Bond were rocked, now at an angle, on the other hand in July of the same year in Barcelona the Danzatoria and in the amrax in Tokyo.

U-FUNK was first booked for individual gigs in the Ha.bar in Stuttgart in 2004, and has been a resident since 2005. Since then, U-FUNK has decisively shaped the musical style of the bar.

U-FUNK likes to appear with its pseudonym "UFFU" and increasingly plays techno and techhouse sets.
