Uber Shakes - Minimal Supervision Vol.3 - Ambient

The year is drawing close to an end. It’s hard to understand just how fast 2023 has flown by. There’s only one more episode until we ring in 2024. 

That said, this is the next to last episode of the year and it’s a banger! Dave starts us out with a bit of progressive house, but quickly moves into minimal / deep tech and ultimately into Latin tech / tribal house and even a bit of acid house. He’s also upped the tempo a good bit, so it’s a barn stormer. 

One word of caution for those with sensitive ears, Dave doesn’t speak Spanish. That will become painfully clear at some point during this set if you do. It was too far in to start over and far gone by the time Dave realized it. It happens to the best of us.

For the final Selador Session of 2023 we’re going to do something slightly different, as we delve into the archives to bring you a mix from way back when. 30 years ago to be precise, when the Brothers In Rhythm were asked to takeover the airwaves of BBC Radio 1 for a special New Years Eve essential mix. Armed with two turntables and a mixer, a sampler and a keyboard, they set about creating a house party mix with wide ranging appeal and a splash of Balearic spirit. And here it is, from NYE 1993 into 1994, the last hour of what was a 3 hour takeover. This is Brothers in Rhythm on the Selador Sessions. Enjoy :)

Uber_Shakes currently resides in KY, but started down the path of DJing while living in his home state of CO back in 2000 playing everywhere from clubs and hookah lounges,  bringing trance and techno vibes everywhere he went. 

Having taken a roughly 5 year hiatus while focusing on his family, Uber_Shakes is making his way back to the mix, focusing on Deep House while still not forgetting the tracks of yore that got him started down this path.
