The Dreamer in Their Tower

Inspired by study of my dreams and the work of Carl Jung, The Dreamer in Their Tower uses ambient and hip-hop beats to score an abstract dream sequence, allowing the listener to use its sounds and textures as anchor points for exploration of their own dreams and personal symbols.

The album releases alongside a book of 26 prose poems that suggest strands of narrative to accompany each of the instrumentals.

A companion and supplement to the album, this book is a loosely narrative collection of prose poems that follows one dreamer's journey through dream space and time.

While the album scores a dream sequence with abstract generality, this book offers one potential interpretation of the project's arc(s), narrating a process of self-exploration and individuation with aid from original imagery inked by the expert pen of artist Kristian Talley.

             With in the past month I have felt more black RAGE than probably in my whole life. It got to a point where everyday I was becoming sadder and sadder due to the daily reports of black people being killed by white police officers who have little to no respect for my culture as HUMAN BEINGS. I saw how we are very much still and have always been viewed at a much lower level than our Caucasian counterparts. Protest, looting, burning of buildings, white privilege, swayed views, propaganda, etc... It was all for the world to see everyday and it hit me hard. So I did what I do every time something speaks directly to me. Create.
