Drone Music

LA FRAMBOISE ISLAND in PIERRE, SD is home to a beautiful cottonwood forest which has been present since before the LEWIS & CLARK EXPEDITION.  Currently, this forest in the heart of a vast prairie is dying as a result of the damming of the MISSOURI RIVER, and is being replaced by a lush juniper forest.  One day, these big strong trees will all be gone, with a new forest growing in their place.

This was a good day of flying.  The location is one of my favorites because it's quiet and it has some nice topography.  I based the music on some of my favorite hymns and the themes, by happy chance, laid over each other perfectly!

The River Mouth

This piece is essentially me playing with the White Witch's theme from Harry Gregson-William's Narnia score.  We had been having a lot of smoke and a friend gave me the idea to write about Charn, the White Witch's home world.  Enjoy!

Decided to go back and fix the instruments for this one again because the hi-hat and toms just didn't sound right to me, but now the drums sound much more accurate to the original.

I can't say when it will drop, but I have a feeling it'll be later this year or early next.  I've made a bunch of themes for this movie and I decided to make a suite.

So the work begins to reconstruct my Spitfire plugins after they all died. Hopefully this is a one-shot thing as it's going to take a while.

Been on a bit of a Season 5 kick and have been cooking up some stuff I think y'all will like. To start off, here's Oliver's theme from "Oliver's Find," which is a beautiful rendition. A bit more whimsical and a far cry from his march-like theme from Season 3, but it is a lovely version that I have been meaning to do for a while. So here it is; I hope you all enjoy!

Another quick one today as I try and juggle a few things and prepare for a busy week. Not directly progressing my projects but still the experimenting with ideas can lead to some new angles there.

Continuing my voice writing practice, but today I've taken the sketch and applied it to the string section, including trying to do the programming properly. I'm pretty happy with how it's sounding overall, though there are a couple of moments in the top line that aren't quite right and I'm not sure why.
