Mad love to Steezy Selections (check on Instagram), who shot the cover art and the music video for this one. He's got crazy t shirts and jumpers which should be dropping asap, we'll be doing collab designs too in the future. Thought the shots by the sea fit the vibe of this one well, much more chilled out than the last track I dropped. In a way I feel like the waves of the sea represent the ways of the world that I'm pushing back from as Tapehead, trying to drag me back in but I'm turning my back on that, spent the video finding the mask, then put that straight on and faced away from the sea. That's what this track is all about to me, a lot of the album follows this theme too. Raise Up defo hit those ideas too but in a more aggressive relentless kinda way, so wanted to drop this one to show the different styles and sounds across the album.

Got me mad inspired to make new stuff to share and test out, will forever remember that one. Can't forget Elmo The Spaceghost for shooting the cover art and the videos for the Intro, thank you for really helping me make the album a reality. Got to give props to Cass for helping me record 'I Use It For Expression' and create the 'Tapehead' soundcloud to upload it to that same day. Since then I never looked back, and I'm really so grateful for where I've been able to take it with the help of everyone, most importantly including you reading this, and everyone who plays my music on any platform from the bottom of my heart thank you for everything. I wanted to list everyone but I got scared I'd miss people out. This is what I love and what I live for, it's a real blessing to be able to release and share what I make and get any kind of feedback and support. I honestly look forward to hearing your thoughts each week when I drop something new. I did actually try and list everyone in the booklets for the cassette and CD, so if you cop that hopefully you'll see your name in there. 

Very very very happy with how this album turned out, the support for this has been so crazy I've been insanely motivated and I'm already halfway through making my next one, so until that drops, I really hope you enjoy this one. “krypt. vol2 is the second instalment of my ‘krypt’ EP series. It’s a mixtape-like EP, named after a ‘crypt’ (underground vault holding the remains of a person); in this case it’s my musical vault with several new + old tracks I’ve had in my unreleased catalogue. It touches various genres like the previous one, from garage stuff to a bit faster house, to slowed down nu-disco. I rarely get inspired by current music, most of the time I’m listening to records at least 15-20 years old but wondering how they would sound if they were made today.

The EP also features two songs (Never Enough, L.U.V.) with my own lead vocals, which a first for my releases thus far. I really enjoy making longer music projects which is why I’ve always gravitated towards LPs and albums, as a producer and a listener. It allows you to dive in a bit deeper in the mind of the creator and see where their emotions lie across a longer body of work. A single often doesn’t have enough power to allow you to see behind the curtain.”
