Performances feature extended 16 or 32 bar phrases for a genuine live feel. Extended Performance Options In A Powerful Construction Kit Format

Within each construction kit, alongside the pre-mixed drum loops, some combination of individual loops of also provided. These include kick (inside and out mic), snare (top and bottom mic), hi-hat, cymbals toms, overheads and room, allowing for full control over the drum mix for your project. For the upright bass, a minimum of three different phrase/performance options are provided, with premixed, microphone and piezo recordings available in each case. The comping performances provide the core chord sequence on acoustic piano, electric piano and electric guitar. Each kit includes a minimum of three variations of each instrument allowing the user flexibility in building a song-length arrangement. A PDF is included with full chord lead sheets for all the construction kits. All of the kits also provide a combination of multiple solo instruments. Up to 44 different solo parts are included within each kit. Throughout, the sound is pristine, authentic and presented without compression. The library contains 645 loops spread across five construction kits and a total of 3.5 GB. The instrument section features electric guitars and basses accompanied by organs, strings and electric pianos. Originating from Trinidad and Tobago, originally built from large industrial drums used for liquid transport, the chromatically-tuned pan drum is played with mallets. The instrument has a colourful history and is instantly associated with the sound of the Caribbean carnival. Caribbean Carnival Character

The Steel Pan library contains over 600MB of sample data and a total or over 400 unique loops and phrases. The audio is presented dry (without effects) and ready for your own choice of processing and ambience. As with other libraries in the Instrument Series, the phrases are organized by tempo and into sub-folders containing collections of musically related loops. Original recording tempos ranging from 70 to 120 bpm. Loops are generally 2 bars in length and recorded in the keys of Am and Em. However, with a consistent sound across the entire loop collection, and Elastik’s powerful tempo-matching and ReTune features, it is incredibly easy to mix and match phrases between the different folders and to build a full song-based performance.

A stereo mix of all three phrases, panned left/right/centre is also included for ease of use. As with all the Elastik Instrument Series libraries, the playing and recording quality are of the highest standards. However, the recorded sound is consistent across all groups of loops. With Elastik’s powerful tempo-matching and pitch manipulation tools, including ReTune, it is therefore very simple to mix and match phrases between the different categories or to re-work the phrases to build your own unique performance.

Choice Of Pre-Mixed Or Multitrack Loops

The loops are provided into six separate Elastik soundbanks. The first contains loops of full drum mixes, while the other five contain all the multitrack loops from the same performances. The drum mix soundbank features two different mixes – wet and dry - of each drum performance. The wet mix provides a fully processed stereo mix with effects and ambience and delivers instant results. The dry mix also provides a rapid workflow but allows the user to add their own choice of reverb, etc.
The multitrack soundbanks contain all the multitrack loops for the same performances. Within each folder, an unprocessed drum mix is provided alongside the separate loops for each mic used during the recording process. These include both inside and outside kick drum mics, snare top and bottom, a hihat mic, multiple tom and cymbal mics, while overhead and room mics can be used to add natural ambience. The mutitrack versions therefore give you the ultimate control over your drum mix.
