Dan Wilson talks about growing up musically in the church in Akron Ohio, and the deep roots of mid-western jazz, delving into detail about the large number of top-shelf guitarists he befriended along the way. Wilson then discusses the continuum of Black American Music and how jazz (which is a subset of Black music) is connected to numerous styes because they all come from the same root (hip hop, gospel, the music of Stevie Wonder etc.).
