The latest release from Ruben Karapetyan’s RKP welcomes Matt Oliver to the label for his debut EP. On the strength of early tracks such as 2021’s ‘Spirit’ and ‘Missing’, the Brazilian artist quickly caught the interest of progressive music fans. Having success marrying the nostalgic grooves of the genre with emotional melodies and club-effective rhythms, Matt became a newcomer to watch. The next two calendar years would see Matt continue to perfect his craft, and in turn land standout projects via long-standing imprints such as BCSA, Mango Alley, The Purr and Transensations. Now, as one Brazil’s top progressive house prospects, Matt adds RKP to his resume with ‘Collison’, alongside remixes from The Wash and Anton MAKe.

The first interpretation of ‘Collision’ is provided by The Wash who makes his label debut. As a DJ first, Austrian artist The Wash has spent nearly two decades in the electronic music underground. A ten-year stretch as a DJ would find the Vienna resident programming music for some of his country’s trendiest venues, before eventually embarking on a career as a producer in 2016. The next seven years would see The Wash build an enviable portfolio, highlighted by releases via Forensic , UV and Mango Alley, the latter of which operates as his primary home. With a contribution to Global Underground’s ‘Select’ series to begin the year, The Wash now adds RKP to his resume with a huge interpretation of ‘Collision’. Opting for a dubbier, more groove-centric approach, The Wash aims squarely at the dancefloor, taking the track into subversive territory, as haunting overlays and deconstructed sonics converge for an otherworldly experience, while an acid-tinged break fully saturates your senses onwards to a trippy finale.

The legendary Global Underground label is back with a second volume of its Unique series. This time, Solee, Pig&Dan & Siavash, Brian Cid, and Biesmans all step up with their fresh house sounds as this is part 2 of the 3 parts.

Solee - With a relentless arpeggiating baseline throughout, this track is clearly focusing on one thing, getting people moving. With a futuristic and dystopian feel the middle section creates space to open your imagination, which then brings you back home to a solid rhythm. The contrast between using soft and hard / aggressive sounds really draws you in to the world Solee has produced within the track.

Pig&Dan and Siavash deliver a sublime dancefloor filler, with the repeated "What You Say" vocal loop over the top of subtly building pads and basslines, another huge track.

The sublime track by production powerhouse, Brian Cid demonstrates his eclectic career to date. A minimalist yet progressive track with flowing dynamics, beautiful modulated synths, percussive plucks and ambient percussion make this a very versatile track. Suitably at home on playlists to drive or study to as it is in the throws of a DJ set.

Biesmans synth laden breakbeat track delivers a punch in the guts and twist to the heart, big, brash and beautiful.

Another fantastic release to the Global Underground back catalogue.

Golden Wings Music celebrates their 50th release by welcoming Daniel Curotto to the label for his debut single. Argentinean artist Daniel Curotto has been a fixture of the progressive house underground for the better part of a decade. On the strength of early tracks ‘Rising Sun’ and ‘Far Earth’ Daniel established a groovy nostalgic sound which made him a name to watch going forward. Releases for Mistique Music and Polyptych would follow across the next three calendar years, further establishing Daniel as a progressive house talent. 2023 would see the Argentine rise to greater heights with key projects via Libertas and INU Musica. Now, as Golden Wings celebrates their 50th release and first in almost two years, they welcome Daniel to the label with ‘Mediterraneo’ alongside remixes from (in order of appearance) Gai Barone, Ranj Kaler and East Cafe.

Providing the first interpretation of ‘Mediterraneo’ is Gai Barone who makes his label debut. With an esteemed career stretching the better part of two decades Gai Barone has become one of electronic music’s most sought after artists. The renowned musician and Italian native has long been one of the industry's most fascinating producers. An unrivalled quest for the creation of something uniquely memorable and deeply moving has fuelled his sonic journey. As a true craftsman, it is this drive for excellence that makes each one of Gai’s studio creations met with much anticipation. Afterglow, Bedrock, Lost & Found and more have been landing spots for some of his most notable work, while progressive music trendsetters such as Guy J, Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren and more have been steadfast supporters along the way. Now in a year which has already seen Gai deliver projects for Dreaming Awake, Vapour Recordings and his own Patterized imprint, the Italian makes his Golden Wings debut with a sensational remix of ‘Mediterraneo’.
