The world is on fire

The vibe: It's the kind of song you listen to on your headphones late at night while looking out the window of a car or bus. It's "cold" in the verses but "hot" in the chorus.

The sound: The focus is on the contrast between silence and noise. It starts minimalist, almost lo-fi hip hop, with a dry drum beat. In the chorus, it explodes into layers of synthesizers that sound like a wall of sound (hence the name "Static").

The message: It talks about the emptiness of being surrounded by people but feeling disconnected, preferring the comfort of mental "static" to facing reality.
