These sounds were recorded in Svalbard, on the Kongsvegen glacier using seismometers. The origanal frequency is within [1-100] Hz, and I have done some post-processing to make the sounds audible.
I made a selection of sounds, from glacier cracks during a storm (1), icebergs that breaks like gunshots (2), water flowing and the surface of the glacier ad causing crevasses to crack (3 to 5) and the resonance of the glacier after an iceberg breaking.

Kongsvegen Glacier

By using sound as a means of expression, we invite the listener to discover the wonders of the Arctic and to become aware of the existence of different temporalities and the ability to navigate between them. With us, you will set out on a journey to search for the whispers of the Arctic glaciers. In the northernmost community of Ny Ålesund in Svalbard, Clovis, a sound artist, joins Ugo, a polar researcher (myself), in studying glacier stability by placing microphones beneath 350 meters of ice.
