I wanted to take some time after the pandemic to be quiet and see how the dance music scene would evolve, and what sounds would come out of the standstill that was Covid. Now that I have a good sense of where I want to be sonically, and what kind of energy I want to spread onto dance floors, I am ready to restart MBTS in 2023. While we are so forced to define who we are with sharp borders in our current society, 2022 has been a year where we took off these heavy clothes burdening us little by little. This year reminded us the limitless possibilities of art and co-production and allowed us to build meaningful friendships.

We’ve prepared for you 11 songs that has been the soundtrack of our lives that we’ve released from Kanto this year, that build harmony between the old and new, and see beyond the duality of mainstream and marginal.

After missing my first 2 shows due to car troubles on the way in, this happened to be my first show for the week, and ironically was the evening that the holy rains began to bless the desert. In fact, during this set we had some drizzles rain down, and you can find me incorporate a playful tune speaking to that moment in this set 😊 
I have the fondest memories from this night, and the lovely vibe this camp curated for us all.
