From the pulse of Soweto streets to the glow of Miami nights, Yabovibes Afromotion is a living heartbeat that bridges worlds. Created by Beat Master Makia, one of the rising architects of the Saduka production team, this project is more than music, it’s a movement, language and vibration intertwined. Every drum speaks in tongues older than time, echoing the chants and celebrations that connect the African continent from Lagos to Johannesburg, Nairobi to Accra. Yet under, Makia’s touch, these ancestral rhythms collide with sleek American soul, creating an Amapiano-driven fusion that’s both traditional and futuristic. Yabovibes Afromotion captures that raw joy of community, the poetry of motion, and the unstoppable spirit of the dance floor. It’s the sound of sweat meeting starlight, where the crowd becomes the choir and the beat becomes belief. This isn’t an album. It’s an invitation, to feel, to move, to remember where rhythm began.

Today marks the dawn of a new era in the politics world and 2016 saw monumental shifts in how the world is shaping up for the future. Inspired by a atmosphere of desperation, frustration and a lack of hope we went to music to seek solace, inspiration and a reminder of the incredible things humans are able to do if they are open minded, work together, cross borders and get creative.

Mare Insularum translates as Sea of Dreams and also the name of one of the moon's many seas. In line with our collective, Shika Shika's, vision, the album not only showcases music that blurs borders and genres, seeking inspiration from past and present, but also music that offers hope, escape, inspiration...

Despite these shifts and the apparent slide into a dangerous new world, at Shika Shika we also believe 2017 is going to be a year of resistance and of hope in every corner of the globe. We believe in the power of music and we believe in the power of collaboration. 

We want to say thanks to all the artists for contributing new tracks, edits and pieces directly written for this compilation.

After seeing him in a Youtube Video, playing all his instruments by himself, we asked him about a music story and as his happiness swept right over back to us..... when we knew...... this has to be!

Seis años después del fallecimiento de Leda Valladares, y a casi dos de haber lanzado la convocatoria, Fertil Discos (Argentina) y Folcore (Barcelona) presentamos el tercer single de lo que será El Camino de Leda, un repaso por el cancionero que la gran música popular rescató del olvido, y que gana otra vida a partir de 12 temas grabados por una nueva generación de productores electrónicos y cantantes invitados.
Revisitar estos cantos desde la música electrónica es mucho más que agregarles una base: es buscar generar desde la nueva música y la tecnología, texturas y sonidos (muchas veces imposibles de lograr con instrumentos) que creen espacios diferentes para recibir esas voces, y también valerse de ritmos y cadencias que no sólo nos devuelven lo ancestral, sino que también lo vinculan a nuestra experiencia diaria en las ciudades modernas.
La clave afro incorporada por Tremor, las atmósferas psicodélicas de El Remolón, los coros de Shaman Herrera, las texturas ásperas y desarmadas de San Ignacio y la voz de Lauphan, el pulso industrial de Pol Nada... son sólo algunos de los ejemplos de un trabajo de investigación y reintepretación que busca y encuentra no tanto las características formales sino el sentimiento y la profundidad del canto con caja. Bárbara Silva, King Coya, Sofía Viola, Jin Yerei, Dat García, Jazmín Ezquivel, Barda, Celeste, Uji y Charo Bogarín (La Charo, de Tonolec) son los demás artistas que componen este proyecto, cuya edición digital se verá complementada por un vinilo doble, disponible desde el 1 de marzo de 2019.

Six years after Leda Valladares’ death, and almost two years after publishing our project, Fertil Discos (Argentina) and Folcore (Barcelona) present the third single of our coming album El Camino de Leda, revisiting the music she recorded and saved from being lost forever. 12 songs, recorded by electronic producers and guest singers, will bring her work and legacy back into life. 
Using electronic music in order to revisit these songs means much more than just adding a base to the vocals: it means to use new technologies to create textures and sounds (many times impossible to be created with instruments) that conform a new type of space to host the vocals, and also to use rythms and beats which not only bring us the ancestral music back, but also link it to our daily experience in the modern cities.
The afro percussions that Tremor used in their track, El Remolon’s psychedelic atmospheres, Shaman Herrera’s vocal works, the rough and deconstructed textures of San Ignacio and Lauphan’s song, Pol Nada’s industrial beat -are just a few examples of this project’s investigation and reinterpretation, which aims not only to reproduce the formal characteristics of the canto con caja, but also to find the emotions and the deepness involved in it. Bárbara Silva, King Coya, Sofía Viola, Jin Yerei, Dat García, Jazmín Ezquivel, Barda, Celeste, Uji y Charo Bogarín (La Charo, de Tonolec) are the rest of the artists involved in this project, to be published digitally, and available in vinyl from March, 2019.

Fulgor is the deepest movement in Barrio Lindo´s discography until today. Produced in the last two years on constantly tour around Europe and South America. 
In his third album, Agustín Rivaldo is strongly inspired by the humanity and the way that people connect through dance and the body in many different ways. 

Barrio Lindo celebrates his third album with special featuring for second time argentinean band Weste and producer Jin Yerei, german producer and composer Andi Otto, ecuatorian band Huaira and sax player Grabiel) 

The musical inspiration cames once again from Southamerica. After his second album “Albura” (2017), Rivaldo works with rhythms from the last century like argentinean Murga, ecuatorian San Juanito, brazilian Chocalho, and centroamerican Reggeaton. The sound of the album has a big presence of metals and springs sparkling in a dark ambient. His use of synthsizers predominate in this nighttime universe that Fulgor cross.

Barrio Lindo - Oscuro Y Brillante

Eclipse es el nombre del álbum más reciente de Looprana, que destaca en el mundo de la música electrónica por sus técnicas de producción análogas, el rescate de las sonoridades étnicas y naturales tanto del Wallmapu como del resto del mundo. Éste álbum consolida lo mejor de un arduo trabajo de dos años el cual busca llevar al oyente por un viaje sensorial de transformación, admiración por la majestuosa marcha de los astros solar y lunar, quienes con su danza cósmica nos han invitado a mirarnos hacia dentro como individuos y como colectivo, como a su vez desde ahí hacia nuestro entorno, hacia nuestra tierra y raíces. Eclipse solar en mapudungun se denomina Lhan antü que tiene como significado la muerte del sol. Una muerte transmutadora que nos invita a renacer en el espíritu y a dejar las pesadas cargas que atan nuestro mundo sutil. En sus sonidos y paisajes se encuentra un mensaje de paz, de profundo amor a la tierra y de una ancestralidad latente, urgente.
Eclipse está compuesto por 11 temas que enlazan el estilo downtempo con los matices psicodélicos del psychill. En la producción musical destaca la colaboración instrumental de Dhanvantri dub con sus tablas hindú y de Salta drums con su hang drum. Además, desde el arte gráfico en el diseño, portada y contraportada destaca el trabajo de los artistas Xilango y Julietademarte.
