The Karmapa is the spiritual leader of the red-hat tibetan buddhists.With the Dalai Lama who is both temporary and spiritual leader of the Yellow hat buddhist is one of the top rank figure in the tibetan world.The red hat, the former school of buddhism in Tibet put the stress much on practice and meditation and the yellow hats rather on theoretical and philosophical  studies.The mantra Karmapa chenno ( in fact Karmapa thien no) mean may the Karmapa protect us.It is less known than the OM MANI PADMI HUM but not less efficient when danger appear.I was reading the book of Ole Nydal "Entering the Diamond way" which how a haschich smuggler and his wife (the author)
were converted to tibetan buddhism in the late 60's .I'm still not converted to buddhism but this book was so pleasant so full of life and wonder about the tibetans masters of this time that while I created this track the mantra permanently run through my head, at such a point that even a critic feel it.The repetitive and rhythmic aspect of the song would suggest the mantra

The recording of the Dalai Lama singing this ancient mantra "Maha Mrityunjaya" of the Rig Veda was taken with the permission of the Dalai Lama to one of his students. At first he refused, but then he agreed, but said the mantra should never be sold, but must be passed in vain. If you would like to share this with others, please continue to include this note.

Ocean Of Wisdom is a piece dedicated to His Holiness XIV Dalai Lama (Ocean of Wisdom). May His Holiness have long life, good health and peace. This piece employs both a Tibetan Singing Bowl and Tibetan Bell raw recording with sounds of the rushing ocean symbolizing even in tumultuous times we can remember Buddha's teachings and remain compassionate and a calm mind bringing peace and harmony to all sentient beings.

In 2015, Androo and Baba had their debut release on Sparring Partners alongside Bony Fly. A year later, Stand High Records put out a 4 track project. Both records have been largely played in the soundsystem scene, but were also endorsed by eclectic house DJs. After 4 years without a new release, NS KROO open 2020 with their first EP. This time, NS KROO present 6 tracks that were made in 2015, with the cover painted by Androo himself. This is his dub project, and his artistic approach of always reconciling diverse influences and genres makes “Introduction“ a unique sonic and visual object. NS KROO describe their EP as a “minimalist and radical“ experience, in which a palette of sounds and textures gently collide. The project is pressed on a 12inch vinyl, and is limited to 300 copies.

Both sides are constructed in a similar way. They start with downtempo tracks, followed by one dub steppers, and finishing with the part 2 version. The opening track “Introduction“ sets the meditative and introspective tone of the EP, while “Rag Question“ dictates the importance of rhythmical features, drawing inspiration from dancehall. “Simmons“ is an anthem track that has been played all over Europe’s biggest soundsystem session. The lead brass-sounding synths, simple conga patterns and a deep bassline entering one minute into the song, give it its unique progressive character. With a nod to Howard Hawks’ movie, “Red River“ is a steppers dub track that is extremely efficient, even more so given its simplicity. The two impressive dub versions encapsulate the experimental aspect NS KROO give to their studio, which they see as an evolving laboratory. As some might have noted, all tracks are driven by a legendary “Rhythm Composer“ who does not have to be cited.

The first installment of my mixtape/audio collage series, this one was for my friend Brooke.  For each recipient I drew a tarot card to use as a basis for their audio collage, and for her I drew the dreaded Tower: the 16th arcana, and one that typically strikes fear into the hearts of those that draw it.  
But really, there is nothing to fear here, except the true knowledge of the Self: the Tower is a symbol of the process of alchemical transformation.

So, with that in mind this 90 minute audio collage is a narrative journey through the crucible of spiritual reckoning the Tower represents.  We descend into a tornado of madness and chaos, until from the broken pieces, understanding begins to coalesce: and we come out the other side, new. 

The only way out... is through.  Listen if you dare.

On Maza Gusu, Mikado Koko transforms into Mother Goose, hissing Charles Perrault's fairy tales from her native tongue in your ears. Her unsettling, regressive voice is backed up by a subtle and chilling electronic soundscape sprinkled with traditional Japanese instruments, creating a realm of sound that feels both weirdly familiar and deeply unknown. Mother Koko hurls you deep down the rabbit hole, back to your darkest childhood anguishes, before gently leading you by the hand to a joyful catharsis. As you slowly get used to its disturbing familiarity, Koko’s music feels like waking up in the pale morning light, shaky but relieved after a feverish dream. 

In summer 2017 Mikado Koko started her solo career as a club music producer with the elements of Japanese traditional music. After many releases, remixes and compilations such as Seitō: In the Beginning, Woman Was the Sun (AKU1016), she now focuses on avant-garde poetry reading related to feminism and gender equality.

Ujjaya is a french/malagasy ethno-ambient  musician , a spiritual seeker.
His tribal and experimental side is mainly influenced by Steve Roach,Robert Rich, Brian Eno and Jorge Reyes. 
Ujjaya  also play open tuned 6 and 12 strings folk guitar in a more new age way,reminiscent of Willam Ackerman.
