We have teamed up with a wonderful French label @white-garden to bring you a special, not première but a dernière ("the last one“) from Bademjan’s recent EP Between the Spectral Moons. 

This lightning and percussive 4-tracks EP was released one month ago and the track ”Seahorses” we are publishing now is a special addition to the artist’s project.

Though I'm an ethno-ambient artist, a big fan of Steve Roach & Robert Rich, Klaus Schulze was the one who introduced me to space music and synthesizers  (shortly followed by Tangerine Dream) . It was a time when bands reigned over music, and Klaus Schulze was alone . It was possible to do some music alone . That was revolutionnary . Many years after I became myself a one man band . As Klaus Schulze went away in April 2022 I thought of a tribute album . Only composed on synth with no ethnic instrument . I thought first to emulate his style as do people like Laurent Schieber (aka Sequentia Legenda), but I remember that Klaus Schulze did not like the copycats, he would have like to find your own way, to express your own freewill. So in the end the tracks sounds still like Ujjaya than Klaus Schulze . As a live musician nearly all my shows present some new and unpublished tracks . If I did not record a new album since 2011, I have plenty of unreleased tracks, and enough synth tracks for a tribute album . But "Roaming" was composed specially for the occasion. I feel it will become my star track for the 20's, as "Au-dessus des arbres" was for the 2010's .

"Enchanted" is a song Sean Carroll and I performed regularly as Sampson - Carroll (Embracing the Glass). It appears on our album From Dust to Dusk. This version is solo, performed at Academy Art and Frame in Colorado Springs, CO, September 2010. My thanks to Sean for letting me use his guitar loop.

"Shamatha" has only been performed live with "Enchanted". There is no studio recording.

L'Appel

The tambur (tanbure) is an iranian lute with a long neck . It is one of the main instrument of the guati rite . An animist pre-islamic ritual used to appease some spirits called guat (or winds). It will become  the tampura into indian music which gives the drone for the raga. But in the balutche area it's still played like a lute . One of my friends, Stéphane, who managed the light for the first Paris Ambient Festival is also like me a instrument collector. He have a tambur, which is quite rare to see, at least in France . I took the opportunity to record the tanbur track in his sweet countryside house which looks quite like a hobbit house with lot of cats. The synth part is provided with the worst yamaha PSR you could find, but it did the job.

Commissioned and produced by Jewish art collective FestivALT, Memory Score explores how we form and deepen physical and emotional relationships to the Kraków Ghetto. Once a place of horrifying brutality, this area of Podgórze has been reclaimed by the ever-evolving city it lies within. But what traces of these violent stories remain and how do we experience them today? During the hour-long piece, dancers lead the audience through the district's streets past sites of historic significance – some of which have been officially commemorated while others are barely visible – attempting through this communal act to reconcile the neighbourhood's present with its past. The specially composed score, heard through headphones, incorporates field recordings from the sites as well as texts by Kraków-born poet Ewa Elżbieta Nowakowska and dramaturg Michael Rubenfeld.

This track accompanies a duet that takes place at the site where a Jewish orphanage used to exist. The directors of the orphanage, Anna Feurstein and David Kurzmann, took care of the children's education and upbringing despite obvious difficulties. On 28th October 1942, the Nazis liquidated the orphanage and its young inhabitants and their guardians were marched to the railway station, from where they were taken to their deaths in Belzec. Feurstein and Kurzmann refused to part with the children and were killed alongside them.

Ujjaya is a french/malagasy ethno-ambient  musician , a spiritual seeker.
His tribal and experimental side is mainly influenced by Steve Roach,Robert Rich, Brian Eno and Jorge Reyes. 
Ujjaya  also play open tuned 6 and 12 strings folk guitar in a more new age way,reminiscent of Willam Ackerman.
