We travel to Australia once again in our UKBM Premiere series, where B&H Records are set to release another cracking various artists compilation.

The Melbourne-based label has seriously impressed over the last year or so with their Taken To The East compilations, a multi-genre, various artists series which featured the incredible Blaze Heat by Akul which we premiered here.

The new project, entitled Bottom Of The Barell, features 8 brand new tracks ranging from banging breaks to shuffling footwork and continues the label's impressive form.

We are super happy to share an exclusive premiere of the second track from the compilation, the beautifully melodic, jungle-inspired Case Of The Can by also Melbourne-based artist IsGwan.

Murder He Wrote is set to release a brand new EP on his own Rhythm Athletic label.

The Manchester-based artist and provider of UKBMix 065, has delighted listeners for almost a decade now with his infectious, highly rhythmic and bass-heavy productions which have been released on labels such as Roska Kicks & Snares & Sounds of Sumo.

Entitled 50/50 EP, the new project is a seriously wicked 5 tracker which superbly melds influences of UK Funky, Breakbeat, Bruk and House and further cements the producer's constantly impressing signature sound.

Talking about the EP, Murder He Wrote has said, "When I think of club music I’m always kind of looking at it as sliding scales between the sonics (more synthetic vs more organic/sample based) and the rhythm (more 4x4 vs more broken) and this EP is a club focussed look at some of the different permutations of that within my own sound all inspired by lockdown lifting and having the opportunity to go out and dance again."

Today we share with you an exclusive premiere of track 3 from the EP, Come Thru. A wonderfully euphoric, high energy breakbeat worldie laced with calypso percussion, soulful vocal chops and guided with powerful, driving bass.

Stepping up to 1s and 2s is Brighton-based producer/DJ extraordinaire Cthulhu.

Our paths first crossed paths a year ago at a little secret forest rave on the outskirts of Brighton, and ever since I've had my eye on all things that Cthulhu was up to. With residencies on radio stations such as 1BTN, Subtle Radio and also Trickstar, Cthulhu is no stranger to the world of UK Bass Music, smashing his sets and providing top-notch vibes every time.

I saw him play again a couple of months back at 'round 2' of said forest rave, and boy did he do a good job. Not only did he manage to sweet talk the police into keeping the party going when they came to shut it down, but he also laid down a killer set, covering most genres across the UKBM spectrum seamlessly. It was a no-brainer to get him involved in our UKBMix series.

We spoke to Cthulhu about his UKBMix, and he describes it as, "Traversing the planes of dystopian Britain, this mix is a melting pot of genre that mainlines thumping breakbeats, warping basslines and pure filth direct into your arteries. Jam-packed with juicy UK goodness let me take you on a journey through time and breaks."

Stepping up for our 103rd UKBMix is India's born and bred producer/DJ @stainmusic_in. No stranger to the stage, Stain has been making waves within the bass music scene for a good while now, with a number of impressive accolades under his belt. He has shared stages with many iconic artists like Plastician, Coki and Loefah (to name a few) and he recently collaborated with Zed Bias, on their track 'Delhi Birds' which was released boxout.fm recordings earlier this summer. 

Known for his heavy influence from dubstep, jungle and grime, he consistently makes sure his sound always stays fresh- but still keeping his roots strong. He is also the former member of Sub-Z crew which he co-founded who were famous for their illegal raves  in India, named ”Bassmndi”, used to help push their sound.
