Hailing from the lands that brought the world new beat, Helsmoortel saw the light after a couple of musical and hedonic explorations. Influenced by 90s boom bap hip hop, rave, jungle, techno and drum and bass, he looks forward to push the feelings that these genres gave him as a small-town boy, into a new aesthetic era. He loves to intersperse hard-hitting drums and distorted sounds with exciting melodies that take hold of the dance floor. His motto is: Nothing is certain, anything goes.

‘Knock The Hustle’, featured here, is an aggressive electro joint with overdriven basslines and distorted drums for that crunchy analog feel that set clubs and ears on fire.

Tina Tornade may be sowing the wind, but for sure her music reaps the whirlwind. Music is her medium for observing the world around her and a cathartic means of expression. Artist, DJ, producer, and columnist for Consentis, she is a resident at Glazart and the After’o’clock parties. A relentless digger, she shares her HI-NRG selections on her shows Tornado Warning (Oroko) and Zone Rouge (Rinse France). By connecting Detroit Techno, Kongolese polyrhythms, Batida, and Latin Techno, her music weaves a precise and vibrant sonic patchwork, where blends, cuts, and samples create a musical storm as radiant as it is impactful.

[Swine Guest Mix] Tina Tornade - Tension & Release

Vancouver/Paris -based imprint Club Designs is back with its biggest compilation to date.
CDMUSIC012, the latest in the label's ongoing series of electro inspired VAs, boasts an eclectic mix of producers from across the globe, paying their respect to the classic Detroit genre.

The compilation features music from Vancouver heroes Greazus, French DMC champion Saligo, Berlin’s Insomniast, and label alumni Shanx, alongside label co-founders Sharkki, who teams up with hot French producer Body Hook, and Garneau who brings a deeper cut to the pack.
Tokyo newcomer Kanse keeps it old school, while Aleister and Minor Sine Project bring the modern productions into play. Sonically, the release traverses the full scope of the imprint's sound, with streamlined percussive club tracks, bass-heavy workouts, and leftfield electro explorations that nod to both UK club culture and North America's undergrounds.

@clubdesignslabel has been steadily building a reputation as a stronghold of gritty and raw dance music, and CDMUSIC012 sounds like both a rallying cry and a celebration of the collective energy that powers the label.

story timeeeeeee… a year and a half ago I was heart broken and found comfort in some of the songs you're hearing in this mix (shoutout Rigby On The Run & No Methods).

I was learning how to dj at the time and kept gravitating to breaks, garage and stutter house tracks with an emotional element. I made love_letter (v1) as a way to cope with my feelings but never released it. 

the set you're hearing today has gone through many changes. it's turned into a love letter to myself and an ode to the artists who've inspired my sound as juju_otb.
