Julio S. Sagreras was an Argentinian guitarist and composer. In the early part of the 20th century, he wrote seven books on guitar tuition, based around the Spanish Classical style. As a young beginner guitarist, I was very fortunate to stumble across these books. They shaped the way I looked at the guitar and, in turn, helped develop my Ukulele technique.

In my eBook ‘Sagreras for Ukulele’ I have taken a number of lessons from the original book and developed them to work on the Ukulele. I have picked them out, shook them up and tried to turn them into something new. I’ve changed some keys, played with the time signatures and have created some fun and inspiring pieces whilst keeping much of the style of the originals.
