Music is all about having fun, right? It’s the reason why Elevate bring you releases, and it’s the motivation behind many artists on stage. Subsonic is one of them. If you’re familiar with his sound then you’ll know his music is all about having fun and creating something people can dance to. From his link up with the immense vocal talent of Ruth Royall on “Hold On”, to the awesome jump up/dancefloor hybrid of “Need Me”. Savej’s full “Entheogenetic” album is coming out on Gravitas Recordings September 29th and is a multi-cultural blend of ancient future and world bass. This genre-bending journey pays homage to various cultures who have influenced Savej and celebrates their history through a new idea of music. This album digs deep into the ancient idea of music and is packed full of influences and collaborations with SOOHAN, Liquid Bloom, Lil Fish, Johnny Buffalo and Ronnā Yawa. The last ‘Wacomaya’ single is donating 100% of proceeds to the non-profit (Futuro Nativo) to support the solar project aimed at acquiring solar panels for Ronnã’s village in the Brazilian Amazon.  Savej’s album uplifts cultures like this through music, and he created a beautiful exploration through different ideas and many ancient traditions under one cohesive journey.

Myself and good friend Liquid Bloom are honored to have been entrusted to create an ancient future rendition of this age-old medicine jam.

Like many indigenous cultures, the Yawanawá deeply recognize that music goes far beyond entertainment - it’s a vital part of our spiritual expression, connection to nature, healing, community, and that unspeakable remembrance of the part of ourselves that spans beyond the human experience. This can be instantaneously felt on a visceral level the moment these songs are sung…pure magic.  

All proceeds from this single will be donated to a non-profit (FUTURO NATIVO) with the intention of raising money to acquire solar panels for Ronnã’s village, Yawarani.

Lagartijeando's new album "Jallala" is out worldwide on June 7th
Purchase LP / Digital: https://wonderwheelrecordings.bandcamp.com/album/jallallan 2017, Lagartijeando (Mati Zundel), released his second full length album ‘El Gran Poder,’ via Wonderwheel and subsequently hypnotized the masses with the way he laced the traditional Charango playing that he picked up traveling the Andes with the pulsing, digital-cumbia electronica that’d been popularized in the region by the likes of Chancha Via Circuito, Nicola Cruz, and beyond. El Gran Poder plucked Zundel from his small town of Dolores in Argentina and catapulted his sound onto a global stage. He was revered by the likes of The Fader and Bandcamp, who referred to him as an electro-folk alchemist - and that he is. 

On June 7, Lagartijeando casts a new spell with Jallalla, an ambitious new full length being released on Wonderwheel Recordings. Jallalla is a word used in Bolivia to celebrate something- and it’s a word that strengthens in meaning when more people say it together. Jallalla is an entire life in an album - beginning with what would be the sonic representation of pulling back reeds to discover a new path with the song Villazon-Potosi and its sparse electronic percussion gradually filled in with curiosity-giving winds. Following is joyful charango riff that becomes the base for the track La Frontera, which features the sweet, wispy voice of Minük, the Colombian artist Alejandra Ortiz, known as half of the duo Lulacruza.
