I finished this mixtape / EP, whatever it is, a few months ago. It’s a combination of demos I was working on that I loved playing out at shows the last year or so. Some old, some new - it’s a mix of all of the genres and styles that I’m feeling at the moment. Also, I really wanted to include interludes because I was always fascinated with them as a kid listening to CDs. vol2 in a few months !

Submission for Disclosure's BeHoward 11 competition.
This track was slowed down from 122 BMP to 116 BPM. We have used the original bass sound which we chopped up and sampled in a different way. We have also chopped up all the drum sounds, especially percussions. All the chord progressions were altered. We have added the original vocals and lyrics on top to make it more interesting and challenging. The track itself is the mixture of different genres such as House, Trap, Pop and a lil bit of “Californian” punk rock. Nevertheless, it’s still preserves a pop track structure with verses, hooks and refrains.
Here’s some interesting facts about the track:
 ⁃ Originally recorded smoooooth Jazzy “Oooos” voicings as a pad layered with MK-80 Rhodes;
 ⁃ Originally recorded Guitars: Juicy Fender Tele and Sexy Gibson Es-335;

U Got Me - Disclosure - BeHoward#11

Took what Guy said today to heart a bit. Decided to switch things up and tried keeping it fresh for myself. Was having a bit of trouble the first go, so scraped the whole project and started over.

Added some big brass stabs and LFO pads. Also added a key solo at the end which is pretty uncommon for me.

Cant wait to check out everyone’s tracks!!!
