“Talking to Myself” is the first single from Nashville’s newest pop duo ‘chitchat.’ This self-aware pop anthem finds the listener being taken through the pages of a diary, as the song narrates someone wrestling with the complex interpersonal struggles intertwined with loneliness, depression and anxiety. 

This temperate, dreamy indie-pop track sets the tone for what to expect from the likes of ‘chitchat’ in the months to come. The duo’s vocal performance is compellingly mesmerizing and leaves little to be desired, and the emotionally raw lyricism is pleasantly packaged with vibrant melodies and catchy hooks. This feel-good vibe continues throughout the entirety of the track, alongside a groovy instrumental that creates the perfect repeat-listen experience. 

“Talking to Myself” captures the emotion of self-doubt perfectly, communicating a conflict that is real and yet simple. The narrative also provides a comfort to the listener, reminding us that often when one feels alone in their struggles, there are many around us that experience the same hardships, and we don’t have to face them alone.
