A song written in a previous project, this is a re-conceived song based on  a conversation with an old man who had told me that this new generation, (Millennial's is what we're called I've been told), are confused, deprived of the true meaning of 'love' and who also told me he thought we, as in people in general, were all just numbers. a very cynical and pessimistic posing as realistic fellow. the conversation stuck with me. so I wrote a song that is that perspective in, hopefully a more insightful and overall hopeful light. i turned his pessimism into confusion and even peppered in lyrics that could be traced lightly to a love song in a mild attempt to prove him wrong. I hope I did.

We are Loose Leaves, an indie folk band based in Portland formed in 2012. The band makes up Dwellyn Conway and Schea Bowden; duo making up a circle of revolving musicians called The Foul Weather Friends. Dwellyn plays guitar, writes and sings for the group, while Schea makes up the other half of the writing, singing and most of the harmonization. Our music makes up the backbone of our lives. It has a definitive core in blues, as well as clearer influences in folk.
