Molly McDermott, or Momac, a young songwriter from Edinburgh, won the Under 18s category in the 2015 UK Songwriting Contest with this song.  Her win sparked a lot of media interest and she received radio play and was interviewed on BBC Radio Scotland (see photo of her in the BBC studio). Her contest win was also covered in a feature article in the prestigious London Times newspaper. This well crafted song about lost love is performed here by Lawrence Hasler and it is one of the UKSC's official nominations for the 2018 Commonwealth Song Contest.

But after careful deliberation the judges chose 16 year old Irina Barzykina as the winner. Irina's jazz influenced writing displays a maturity and a feel for composition well beyond her years and she shows great promise for future development.
