UK Shuffle Dance (UKSD) is an organisation that was created through the toughest, most testing months of lockdown (during the COVID-19 plandemic). What initially commenced as a casual meet up between dancing friends on a Sunday, has now become a rapidly growing creative and collaborative community. Each and every week we host open-shuffle meets for all age groups: no experience needed and all levels are welcome. We are a public-facing team and we put these sessions on for free at open areas in and around London. 
The organisers & administrators of this community and ceremony of dance assemble and curate these experiences through solid teamwork, effort, passion and care with minimal resources and ultimately at their own expense in order to give people a platform and a place where they can dance and release: for the love of house music, freedom of expression, creativity and togetherness through music. 
This comes at a much needed time where people need entertainment, stimulation and healing. We are providing benefits to our growing community and the general public on many levels and we truly believe in doing our bit help society cope with & overcome the many mental health struggles suffered as a result of multiple lockdowns, restrictions and separatist strategies imposed by the establishment. Ultimately we spread love through dance and provide a sense of belonging, which let’s face it: everyone needs to feel right now! 

Health & fitness are core to our values and mission naturally: having been founded by award winning dancers and championship athletes. We provide community warm-ups, teach dance moves and encourage everyone to lock in (in person or online), learn, celebrate & support each other and dance in your own way: expressing your true creativity and soul, naturally as it is your own unique voice/body - and it is powerful. 
We provide the sound & light equipment, DJ’s volunteer to play. Week in week out, come rain or shine DJ’s, Producers and Artists come out to provide music and visual art of their own free will: adding unique colours and vibes to our scene, our canvas!
We have shufflers coming down from all the way as far as Manchester, Sheffield and even Glasgow to simply be surrounded by a community of like-minded people who just want to dance (#LetUsDance). Unfortunately, the fact remains that as a nation, during lockdowns our body movement reduced and inevitably we all noticed the absence of exercise throughout what felt like the longest winter in the UK ever :( 
For so many of us it was a really tough time and many have not yet recovered physically let alone mentally. Some individuals have not been too affected as they are fortunate enough to have the means and resources to contract a personal trainer and to be coached out in the parks. However, where does that leave the rest of the UK population at large? With this in mind, UKSD is here to create an impact, bring about positive change and make a difference to peoples lives. Currently we are in our infancy phase (established March 2021) and well on the way to becoming an official non-profit organisation by 2022-2023.
